Why is that?





Just part of an overall opposition to government directed social engineering. I am an Engineer by trade by my hobby is studying the rise and fall of civilizations. British historian Lord Acton is a favorite of mine. I see government directed social engineering as a slow journey towards totalitarianism. In 1944 Friedrich A. Hayek wrote a book called "The Road to Serfdom" which pointed out that the western "Social Democracies" were headed down the same path to serfdom that Nazi Germany traveled, but at a slower pace. It was more than 60 years ago that he wrote the book and I am afraid we are still on the same "Road" but have accelerated the pace.

I understand, now thank you. For myself, I find giving the choice of free contraception to not be over the line on social engineering but I sympathize with your viewpoint.
