Prior to 911 Saddam had the biggest motive to attack the US on our own soil: we had kicked him out of Kuwait; we were enforcing no-fly zones in Northern Iraq and Southern Iraq; and we bombed the heck out of him prior to our liberation of Kuwait. His motive was greater then Osama Bin Laden's (US military presence in Saudi Arabia) and bigger then the Iranian Mullahs (referring to the US as the Great Satan). Unfortunately however, we still do not know with any certainty where the Anthrax, which was utilized in an attack on our own soil, came from.

The Pentagon website says: "The U.S. Government has made no determination regarding the authenticity of the documents, validity or factual accuracy of the information contained therein, or the quality of any translations, when available."

How in the world could the U.S. government prove beyond the shadow of a doubt the authenticity of a document created by a government that no longer exists ? To me this is an honest 'caveat' from the Pentagon and our government.

An example of a hypothetical dishonest statement follows: "We do not know what caused the train crash, but we are absolutely certain that is was not terrorism".

Except - that's not what the letter says. At least the way I'm reading it.

It says "A Party in Afghanistan, heard from a second party in Afghanistan, that he heard from a third party in Iran, that we were working with Al-Qaeda. The Americans seem to believe this, so we will probably be punished regardless"

I mean - this isn't drawing from A to B. This is Drawing From Al-qaeda, to Iran, To Afghanistan, to Spy, to Iraqi Spymaster. Five degrees of separation. Popular cultures says you can get from me to *anybody* in six degrees of separation.
