Volunteers serving as honor guards also do their best to give the veteran the final respect he or she deserves.

A standing salute to each and every one of them.

I went to a funeral at Arlington national cemetary the other day to see a friend go to Post everlasting. If only every veteran could be seen off like they do it at Arlington. A rifle squad, a bugler, an honor guard. Too many are laid away with a Boogie box and the flag folded ,the best they can, by some undertaker .

I thank this old fellow and his fellow horn players. Even a bad rendition of taps by a real horn is better than a Boogie Box.
