The idea is to give folks a chance to muster their resources for that thread. I would particularly ask that anyone with specific knowledge or resources about the topics / guests announced for these shows post them here so that the rest of us can go into the shows with a heads up on what to look for.

technically my eyes are doing fine, it's my brain that's having problems coping. Not really much they can do for me there ;^>
It's like when you get a new pair of glasses, things are changed and you take time to get used to it. My relative change was just a bit more extensive than most. I go back to my doctor on the 8th and he actually thinks that he'll be able correct me to 20/20 in the left eye with glasses. I haven't been able to wear glasses to get correction for 35 years! The prospect is really exciting. It's just getting from here to there that takes a bit of getting used to.
One of the things I'm most grateful for is that I've got a very understanding boss who is letting me work from home, in a slightly more controlled environment, about half of each day. Of course, he does end up getting me to work about an extra 3 or 4 hours that way, so it works out ;^>
Thank you all for your concern and well wishes (and patience with my soap opera)

Although not nearly to the extent of your eye problem..
I think I sort of know what you are going through. I wear contact lenses...but went to the optometrist to get some emergency glasses.
Well they thought it would be a good idea to give my bifocals...and so, of course, I went along with it. I told them I wanted the "lineless" so you can't tell by looking at them that they are bifocals....
I got them and tried to wear them that day...and I was SO nauseous, and had such vertigo...I couldn't wear them AT ALL. They told me I would get used to them, just to keep wearing them...but I just couldn't deal with the vertigo, which triggered the nausea.
I took them back..and said that since I wear my contacts 100% of the time, and the glasses are only for emergency, that I want just single vision, NO bifocals.
The new ones are better...but I plan on not having to use them unless I have an eye infection, because I keep a stock of boxes and boxes of new contacts at home.

I have been on a thread about the riots in France...I should have pinged you...sorry.
If you get a chance to watch the replay of this show tonight, you should watch it....it is a great show.
Today's topic is immigration reform...and there are a lot of thoughtful opinions...no flame wars and shouting.

Darn straight the Memphis Tigers! (is LSU blue as well?). Living in Germantown, TN, in the Memphis suburbs I'd be beat silly if I went any other way. My wife's a travel agent in town and has been finding "miracle packages" for diehard fans for both Dalls and the next stop, which I gather is Oakland. Folks are booking non-refundable trips based on assuming that Memphis is going to at least the Sweet 16, if not all the way!
And you've got my other team as well. Though he's left school before graduating my son is an Aggie (once and Aggie, always an Aggie), so I pull for them too.
Gig 'Em
(that's as close to maroon as I could find)
If Memphis and A&M meet by some chance I'll be torn, but will end up happy whichever goes on (is that even possible?)

Dave Sackett of the Tarrance Group said, in a memo to Mehlman, that distancing oneself from the president is a "flawed strategy"Mr. Sackett is obviously a very astute observer since he agrees with me :)

Yes...I thought that article was really good...and I too, agree that distancing from President Bush is dumb (LOL).
BTW...I noticed that both Mort and Fred Barnes, on Beltway Boys made the comment that though "the talk around town" may be that Bush needs new blood...it was not a good thing for him to go public with his "suggestion"..
I agree with that as well...it was a dumb move by Coleman, and I lost some respect for him as an opportunist.
I am mentally making a roster for the new "opportunist party"..that I see forming.
