"The unwavering U.S. position since Dwight Eisenhower's administration has been that Israel's borders coincide with those established in 1949, and since 1967, the universally adopted UN Resolution 242 has mandated Israel's withdrawal from the occupied territories."

Let's see here. Israel has been invaded multiple times by Arab armies, fought back, and conquered new territory each time---at one time including all of the Sinai penisula up to the Nile--and then they repeatedly GIVEN IT ALL BACK, except for territory deemed strategically necessary for defense against future incursions, and the Muslims are STILL pissing and moaning about the 1947 borders.

Oh, yes- and Jimmah Kahtah is an idiot.

"and then they repeatedly GIVEN IT ALL BACK"

If I recall correctly, it was in return for peace treaties with THE ARABS WHO WANT TO DESTROY ISRAEL -- peace treaties which have endured. But then Israel stopped. I guess Israel is no longer interested in peace, huh?

"except for territory deemed strategically necessary for defense against future incursions"

Strategically necessary? You still repeating that garbage? It's a land grab.

If territory is strategically necessary, let Israel trade land west of the Green Line.
