"Are you upset that the government is spending more money on an inferior solution?"

No.

You missed the point.

This is supposed to be a TEMPORARY situation. They expectation is that people get back on their feet again at their OWN expense or with the help of charity - not the government. Now their asking for PERMANET homes. These "permanent" homes are severely OVER PRICED. As mentioned elsewhere on this thread - enough is enough! It's just another rip off. Surely even you can see how this is morphing into something it was NEVER supposed to be.

I don't need to know someone personally to see a rip off and ungrateful people who are given a TEMPORARY home at NO CHARGE.

Well no one seems to know or care about where the money comes from. When you have a society where you can get by with doing nothing and being a failure, yet still live ok because of the government, that's what happens. These people were steeped in the handout mentality their entire lives, it seems.
I know not everyone can help themselves, but how many people at the Superdome who were sitting and yelling "We want hayulp! We want hayulp!" Were COMPLETELY able to have been working, saving, whatever, for years before Katrina happened?

Larry Kudrow called us racist and xenophobic on MSNBC
for opposing legalizing illegal aliens "Who we need!"
Today Kudrow repeated that on his WABC 770 NYC show

Kudrow also brought on Tom Barnett who praised
$lick Willie as being the best "deal-maker" President

But Rush says illegal aliens are the #1 problem

What do you think FReepers?

Leave the wheels - next time when there's an evacuation, the government can just drag their whole house out ...

I want all you suckers to give me new permanent housing even though I only rented in New Orleans.

Same as getting an email from Nigerian General Kachinga Cheatchusuckah.

They build and deliver these, in Alaska, for a lot less than 60Gs.

But then, who would want to live in LA.?

One of these days, when I'm a little bit solvent, I am going to post a vanity- seeking ideas for dirt-cheap-but-nice digs. I'd want to own the land and be in a rural setting, but within striking distance of someplace with an economy. Not today, not ready yet, but this thread is giving me a lot of ideas.

Some of the prefab places that I have seen in the links on this thread would be just perfect for me, a bunch of computer stuff, some books and maybe a cat.

Bookmark and bump.

I`m thinkin` someone bought some storage sheds, placed windows and doors in them. Some electricity and maybe roughed in the pipes for water and sewage.

They have run us out of California (moving to Hawaii) in 2007 and if I can't stand the erosion of our "freedom" and watching the politicans squander our taxes, I have already done research for other countries.

Then why are you coming to Hawaii?

I just sent the General's son 14 full books of Merchant's Green Stamps and a mint boxed set 12 Shell stainless steel steak (serrated edge) knives with those lovely simulated ivory handles.

I await my 37 million bars of gold.
