ROME (AFP) - The World Cup in Germany is set to become a battleground between facists and Muslims, an Italian member of a new European neo-Nazi movement warned.
In a statement published by Italian daily Repubblica, the memeber of AS Roma's notorious ultras hooligan group claims neo-Nazis across Europe met in Braunau in Austria to plan attacks against supporters from Islamic countries during the World Cup in Germany from June 9 to July 9.
"We are united. For the first time we are talking and planning together, with the English, the Germans, the Dutch, the Spanish, everyone with the same objective. At the World Cup there will be a massacre," said the Italian ultra.
"We will all be in Germany and there will be Turks, Algerians and Tunisians. The Turks, we can't stand them. In our country (Italy) there are not many, but in Germany, there are many of those guys there. They are Islamic terrorists.
"We will attack them. They are all enemies that need to be eliminated, just like the police. If we make the Roman greeting (the fascist salute) they put us in prison. We will be tens of thousands. Nothing but the English are feared."
One could guess that the Neo-nazi groups will be infiltrated and cut off from this possibility as well by law enforcement.
I hope they both win!
I sure won't be shedding any tears should anyone be hurt from either side should it happen.

Soccer is a much tougher sport than you might think, despite what image we get of it here from the soccer mom types. I'm really looking forward to the World Cup.

Makes sense. When you have more than one totalitarian regime, they are going to be enemies, like Nazis Germany and Soviet Union, Soviet Union and China, Iran and Iraq. During World War II, Nazis did side with Muslims and many fled to those nations, mainly Egypt and Syria. Heinrich Himmler wished Germany was a Muslim country because of its war-like tendencies.
Communists and Muslims too are allies. They share the same goals. When Iran fell to the Mullahs, the Soviet Union knew that radical Islam will replace Communism and they were happy about it. Maybe, commies are Atheists, but "The enemy of the enemy is my friend". The Soviet Union sided with them during the Cold War largely because of hatred of Jews and Christians. They even promoted anti-Semitism by distributing anti-Semitic propaganda, many of them from Nazis Germany. Soviet Union was always anti-Semitic, largely because before it was anti-Semitic, but it gets worse under Stalin, who saw Jews as evil and a threat.
For them both to turn on the Communist anarchists. Neo-Nazis and Islamofascists don't have a prayer in defeating America. The enemy within and their cohorts do.
If the skinhead inbreds attacked innocent civilians, I'd root for the London Bobbies and SAS. If all parties involved are violent a-holes, lock down and make it pay per view.
Bobbies can take care of the survivor(s).
Notice too that during the French riots by the muslims, there were next to no rioting in Germany. They have five minutes to behave or else!

1) find one one 'bad' facist to threaten thousands of 'good' facists.
2) publicise the hell out of it.
3) eagerly await any possible 'insult' against a muslim during the aforementioned sports charade
4) publicise the hell out of it.
5) And the masses only remember the headlines....

alright, alright already...it seems like such a non-confrontational sport to have so many confrontational fans...How's that?
Soccer has plenty of legal shoulder charges and jarring slide tackles, along with illegal off-the-ball pushing and shoving that occurs. Take a look upfield during dead ball plays like free kicks and corner kicks and there are players practically mauling each other to gain better position to get to the ball. The referee can only keep his eyes on so many athletes simultaneously.
Nothing wrong with a little debate if it's reasonable. You recovered nicely.

It's not just like the Neo-Nazi's in the USA who are a absurd little less-than-a-cult, perfectly sent up in the original "Blues Brothers". The Euro variation goes back to the 1970s and numbered in the tens of thousands at the time.
Hyper-nationalist politics is making a come back in Europe too, as the obvious counter-point to the ongoing Euro-tifada.
This is another problem with the far left, it destroys freedom both on its ascendency (with various giveaway programs) and in it's descent, via violent rejection. Much better to stick with conservative/libertarian politics then to oscillate like the Euros.

Anyway if 40,000 drunk, young punks show up to beat on people it could be very bad. Remember Chicago 1968, but with people who know how to take a punch and throw one. The riots in England and surrounding countries were huge and at one points trains stopped running to end it.

Despite not being a "contact" sport, Soccer is actually damned rough. Contact actually happens all the time. The fact that pads aren't worn (I never even wore shin guards) only exacerbates the potential for injury.
I also wondered about that sentence.
Could it mean the English soccer hooligans inspire fear and they (neo-nazis) want to emulate them?
Its probably a poorly edited translation of a longer statement and maybe not in its original context. Curious, though.
