Whiny Kids Make Conservative Adults. Really?

An article in today's Toronto Star looks at a new study that purports to show that whiny children grow up to be conservatives. The study, published in the Journal of Research in Personality, is interesting in that it is longitudinal. It studied 95 kids for decades. UC Berkeley professor Jack Block found that:

"The whiny kids tended to grow up conservative, and turned into rigid young adults who hewed closely to traditional gender roles and were uncomfortable with ambiguity.

"The confident kids turned out liberal and were still hanging loose, turning into bright, non-conforming adults with wide interests. The girls were still outgoing, but the young men tended to turn a little introspective."

I would like to know who funded this trash. How much did the researchers make on it and who published the insanity.

For the simple explanation, ask yourselves: Who said which kids were whiny & insecure? Berkeley teachers! When would a Berkeley teacher consider a 3-4 year old "whiny" & "insecure"? When the kid...

- won't put a condom on his/her banana (and in the 60s then smoke it)
- won't play with dolls if male or with trucks if female
- won't dress and pray as a Muslim, Hindu or Buddhist

And I'm sure I missed many more!

one only needs to read the headlines of any major liberal news paper to know this study is total fabrication. Who are the lefts hero's .... Cindy Shehan (one of the all time greatest Whiners), Michael Moore (Makes his living by whining. He's so bad, that if he can't find facts to prove his point he makes them up), his audiences (goes without saying), Hillery, Harry Reid, etc.....

Who was it in Hitlers organization that said ..."Tell a Lie long enough and they will believe it to be true"? The entire left wing of the Democratic party lives by that creed, whining at every opportunity
