WHEELING The Iraqi people ultimately must determine their own fate, and as they stand up, well stand down, President Bush told an audience in downtown Wheeling Wednesday.
A capacity crowd of more than 2,000 including many military veterans and their families turned out for Bushs town hall forum on the War on Terror at the Capitol Music Hall.

WHEELING Many people who attended President Bushs Wednesday appearance in Wheeling said they werent sure what to expect from the speech and subsequent question-and-answer period, but several area residents said afterward that they were impressed with the chief executives statements and responses.
I want to know if he has any plans for addressing the congressmen who so negatively portray the war in Iraq, said St. Clairsville nurse practitioner Janel Trovato-Vass. She had her question for the president carefully written on a Post-it note she held as she waited to enter Capitol Music Hall. The line dotted with the white caps of Marines in dress uniforms and the square-patterned camouflage of the Air National Guard stretched for a few blocks as Secret Service officials checked everyone with metal detectors.
