NBC Showcases Anti-War West Virginian Over One Critical of Media

At a forum with President George W. Bush Wednesday at the Capitol Music Hall in Wheeling, West Virginia, Gayle Taylor, the wife of a member of the military recently returned from Iraq, was drowned out by a standing ovation when she told Bush: "It seems that our major media networks don't want to portray the good. They just want to focus-" Neither the CBS Evening News or NBC Nightly News found the criticism of the news media to be newsworthy. NBC's David Gregory instead decided to assert that "in a state he won twice...many here now wonder whether the sacrifice of American lives has been worth it." NBC viewers then heard from one Mountain State resident, Donna Neptune, whom Gregory described as "a Republican." She maintained: "Those people don't want our help. Our people's being killed over there for nothing." ABC's World News Tonight, however, was unique amongst the broadcast evening newscasts and highlighted the contention from the woman anchor Elizabeth Vargas described as "the wife of a military journalist who was just back from Iraq."

I had made a simular remark with the same response September 20, 2004.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/09/20040920-11.html

Q I hear a lot of things in the press in regards to what's happening in Iraq. I don't appreciate the fact that the press only presents a certain point of view. I hear different things, and one thing I've learned -- I did a little bit of studying -- I was wondering if you can tell me a little bit about Salman Pak. And we know about Zarqawi and how he's causing all sorts of problems in Fallujah.

And the other question I have, real quick is, is that I watched a special on Fox News last night on the U.N. -- the oil for food scandal. And the thing is, is that when it comes down to the oil for food scandal, we have a lot of countries that opposed us at the very beginning of the war that have a lot of money staked in with Saddam. And I was just wondering if, when you address the U.N., do you plan on bringing it up to these countries? (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: No. (Laughter.) There is an investigation going on. Paul Volker is leading the investigation, and it's best that the investigation run its course.

It`s just the opposite, the more the MSM does this crap, and then are exposed as we see it live or on Fox, the more creditability they loss. Question: When you saw the NBC lie, did you believe it? Nobody else will either.

MSNBC question of the day tried to produce a poll after the speech stating a large % of their viewers are against the war.

I wonder why?

Could their bias "if it bleeds it leads" reporting somehow be creating a negative depraved audience blind to the reality of why we are there and what we are doing?

I have never seen Bill Clinton field question like this ever unless he viewed the cue cards that were handed out first.

This is just one more example of the MSM's blatant bias. They will always edit and distort the news to fit their agenda.

The mainstream media had a laisser faire treaty with their golden boy Bill Clinton.

Operation Desert Fox was never a problem for the mainstream media on Dec. 17, 1998

Gayle Taylor was on with Chris Matthews Hardball this evening with her husband. Chris Matthews was in full denial mode. When the transcripts become available I will try and post it.

If anyone notices the 23rd of March transcripts pop up please post it off this website from MSNBC.
