I love the liberal myth that the NY Times was pro war back in 2003.

It can't happen soon enough. Maybe just run 15 mins of weather and 15 mins of sports. Might improve their moribund ratings.

Might Bush and Cheney been responsible for the delay in getting this stuff released? Machiavellian minds want to know.

My instincts on this say no.

But nevertheless history is going to be very kind to GWB for his leadership and actions taken to date.

Maybe President Bush (chess/poker player that he is) has decided to finally let the air out of the entire Democratic strategy.

You'll never convince me that he hasn't been watching all this and waited for the right moment. If he exposed them too soon, they would have had time to regroup and try something else before it's too late. They have been laying their "Bush lied" stuff on too thick so it's too late for them on this issue. Just about all their eggs are in that basket and it's going to hurt them.

They have all gone out there on that ledge (like Wile E. Coyote) and having a ball with their accusations.

All the MSM can do is try to cushion the blow by trying to discredit the Iraq papers any way they can.

How can this be? If this is true, then Bush didn't lie and everyone knows that Bush lied. It must have been planted by Halliburton. Or the Cocoanut Grove.

I agree with your assessment. People say Clinton was a real political pro. I say Clinton is an amateur compared to GWB.

Maybe just run 15 mins of weather and 15 mins of sports.

Your words are dead on. I used to do weather on a local NBC affiliate and the consultants were always going over the details in the ratings.

It turned out that hardly anyone was watching the local news from the beginning. The big jump happened in the second 15 minutes, occupied by weather and sports. Weather was at the very end of the newscast at that time.

After the ratings, weather was moved up to 10 minutes past the hour (to qualify being in the first 15 minutes for the ratings).

The news (first 15) portion of telecast went way up in the next ratings book, just like the consultants said it would, but the liberal reporters in the news room couldn't get over congratulating each other for what they did.
