I know what you mean. My Dad died too young and my Mother sold her big house and lived in a Condo for 17years! It was the perfect thing for her!
She even got a two bedroom one for when I visited as my brothers all lived near her.
After you've lived in a house for any time at all, moving into a condo has it's limitations. But, you have to balance the positives with the negatives and accept it. I like where, and what I have now. We just don't like the hell like summers of 110/115 derees.
My Mom had a huge house but we cleaned it out, gave a lot of stuff the the church store.
She was pretty smart about knowing just what to take with her. There are a few things I wish we hadn't given away but that's how it goes.
When you move from a house, to a condo, a lot gets tossed!
