I have asked several fellow Catholics (democrats) how they reconcile their political affiliation with a party that is pro-abortion. I have never gotten an answer that wasn't a dodge.

My uncle-in-law (husband's father's brother) is a devout Irish Catholic and a staunch liberal Democrat. He attended the seminary in his youth and attends church on a daily basis, yet he is a Kennedy-lover and spouts all the liberal talking points. I've always wanted to ask him how he can reconcile the two points of view, but for the sake of family unity, I don't get into it.

Saw a bumper sticker lately that said, "Jesus was a Liberal." Incomprehensible.

Sounds like the elders in my family. As devout Catholics as you can imagine but they see the GOP as heretics.

Certainly for his time He could have been considered a liberal but by today's definition of the word, He could not be more diametrically opposed to that anti-Christ ideology.
