I read and liked the President's words. But I sent these letters anyway to ensure he knew what my feelings are and how seriously I consider this issue. I hope and pray that the actions of our elected representatives will live up to those words. This is my small way of letting them know that is what I expect and that I am watching to see if they do.
They must fear for their political hides over this issue. We need statesmen who will say those words and then do all in their power to enure that they translate into actions and reality. We shall see if they do. They can start with the Sensenbrenner Bill.

I read and liked the President's words. Once more, the fact that his plan still contains amnesty by any name puts the lie to the pretty words.
And the continuing silly talk about 'the jobs Americans won't do' is still patronizing and insulting.

I will send similar letters to my senators, congressman, the RNC, and the President. I may be from Texas and have good congresscritters, but it can never hurt to let them know where I stand. I will include a copy to the RNC with the last request for money.
