Communists boiled babies: Berlusconi
Herald Sun ^ | 27 March 2006

ITALIAN Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, fighting for re-election against a centre-left coalition which includes the hard left, said today communists have a history of boiling babies.

"I have been accused many times of saying communists eat babies," he told a rally of his Forza Italia (Go Italy!) party.

"Go and read the black book on communism and you'll find that under Mao's China they didn't eat babies but they boiled them to fertilise the fields.

"They say we look to the past too much, but they forget that in the opposition there are three parties who proudly call themselves communists."

Mr Berlusconi has often been accused of being obsessed with the "communist threat" in Italy, a country where during the Cold War the communist party was bigger than anywhere else in western Europe.

In the run-up to winning the 2001 election, Berlusconi said: "I can organise a conference in which I will prove communists have really eaten babies and done even worse things."

With the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Union, most of the Italian Communist Party transformed itself into the Democrats of the Left, now Italy's main opposition party.

But smaller breakaway communist parties still exist.

The biggest, Communist Refoundation, is likely to poll 6-7 per cent of the vote at the April 9-10 election, opinion polls indicate. Another party, Italian Communists, may get up to three per cent.

Polls put the centre-left bloc, led by former European Commission President Romano Prodi, 4-5 percentage points ahead of Mr Berlusconi's centre-right.

Mao was just upset because all the babies were afraid of that weird mole on his chin.

The Italians have the world's lowest birth rate.
They are killing themselves off, with no help from the commies.
Perhaps, though, the commie party leads the abortion issue, the smaller family drive. I don't trust the commies; never did; never will.

Go and read the black book on communism and you'll find that under Mao's China they didn't eat babies but they boiled them to fertilise the fields.

And to think we had people in the media and academia defending these wackos and still do.

That Mao! Always practical.

If you have to kill a few million babies, you'd might as well put them to use as fertilizer to help the Five Year plan along.

And it makes good Communist scientific sense to boil them, so there won't be any chance that these politically incorrect babies will spread their germs onto the wheat, and thereby endanger the party cadres who get to eat the wheat, while the peasants starve.

The way I read it on snopes, the pic is a fake.

Claim: Taiwan's hottest restaurants offer grilled and barbequed fetuses.

Status: False.

Take a look at what happened in the Ukraine in the 1930s. 12 MILLION dead from starvation and summary execution on the theory that if the farmer had grain in the barn he was hiding a lot more, so they took all of what he had on hand and he and his family starved to death, and if he didn't have any grain he was obviously hiding some, so they shot him and his family as counter-revolutionaries. They didn't need to boil babies for fertilizer - there was plenty of fertilizer available.

Yup definitely a great guy, sounds just like the type you'd want to have over during your new year's eve party for a few laughs.

Communism killed hundreds of millions during its reign of terror. Hitler was an amateur by comparison!

Robert Conquest's "Harvest of Sorrow" noted that for each LETTER in his book 20 people died in the collectivazation famine. His book is 441 pages long.
