Condi may not follow FR, lol. I'd be wiling to bet that she does.

You'd be surprised who reads FR,...but I was sworn to secrecy. I can say however that a whole bunch Congressional staff check here on a regular basis. They use it as a newswire kind of tool, always lurking, never saying a peep.

I've said it before, but we'll keep seeing evidence pile up, day by day, regarding Russia/China involvement in world events. I want to believe they've turned over a new leaf as much as the next guy, but it's just not logical.

(1) Russia knew there were no weapons, or helped Saddam remove them. (Remember the Russian convoy that was "accidentally" fired upon while leaving Baghdad in the early days of the war? I wonder what other documents were in this convoy.)

(2) Russian Special Forces fed the US intelligence behind the scenes to "encourage" us into war, while publicly taking an opposite position. And now it looks like they were also spying on us at the same time and feeding critical information to Sadaam.

(3) They knew that when no weapons were found, the US's credibility in the world would be greatly diminished and Russia's credibility would be greatly enhanced by saying "we told you not to go to war."

Remember we're dealing with chess players here, and my gut tells me there's much more to this story than meets the eye. Iraq was a client state of Russia, supplying most, if not all, of the weapons used against our troops. Why is it so shocking to think that Russia had a strategic interest in goading us into war, undermining our efforts while we were there, so as to weaken our military and diminish our credibility in the world.

A very dangerous game is afoot, I hope our politicians wake up. Much more dangerous than Vietnam ever was...

Thanx for the ping. "... also reveals that beginning in 1998 Saddam Hussein's intelligence services began training "non-Iraqi Arab volunteers" at camps in Iraq." You may recall Ollie North --as our troops overran Salman Pak-- noting that boxes of documents had been found, then the entire topic was squelched. I wonder ... a modern jet fuselage, a modern european style train ... what kind of training was occurring again? Counter-terrorism? What a pile of stinking horse pucky that explanation is, as 911 and the Madrid bombings should tell us!

"I'd be wiling to bet that she does."

If so, then when will she respond to my proposal?
