Muslims are accused of killing 'unclean' dogs

Pro-islamic municipalities in Turkey are killing stray dogs, animal rights groups claim.
Municipal workers are hunting, torturing and killing the animals by the hundreds, the campaigners say.
The allegations surfaced when Burcu Isikalp, a young veterinary surgeon, went searching for seven strays she had been caring for near her home in the capital, Ankara. Witnesses told her that municipal workers had taken them away.
She went to Ankara's largest refuse dump, Mamak, where she found one of the strays with hundreds of other dogs. "They were all dead, stacked in large pits," she said. "We also found 10 dead puppies in a bound plastic bag. There is a myth among pious Muslims that dogs are unclean."
Animal rights campaigners who accompanied Miss Isikalp last week said that at least two of the dogs had been sexually abused.
The mayor of Mamak, Gazi Sahin, of the ruling pro-Islamic Justice and Development Party, has denied responsibility.
So, they're dirty dog killers?.......

Funny, because there is a myth among pious dogs that Muslims are unclean.
Torturing? I can understand the killing -- we have strays killed here. But torturing? Is barbarity bred into the Moslem psyche?
Mexico does the same thing. In Punta Mita, sbout 40 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, "animal control" comes out about twice a year. They dump poison meat on the edge of town and the packs of stray dogs head for their last meal.
A few days late, a crew comes with a bulldozer and they bury the dead dogs.
I wondered what ever happened to old Floppy.
I was deployed to a base in Oman when the war kicked off, anyway we were in lock down on the base, so all we could really do is take walks on the base. There was a section of kennels, where the dogs were hidden out of site. We could hear them barking from time to time. They were trained dogs but were not allowed out, because they are considered, unclean.
Yes. Its built inot the Islamic belief system that its pleasing to God to punish unbelievers and unclean animals.
By the way, the claim in the ass that dogs are "unclean" animals is a popular Islamic "myth" is untrue.
Orthodox Muslims consider dogs unclean animals.
Just another reason why Islam is a radical cult instead of a genuine religion.
