I really don't understand how those deaths are so meaningless to so many people here or people refuse to recognize the valor and courage of those people.I don't think the deaths of those trying for a better life are meaningless to those who post here. Folks are just getting tired of the reckless hatred that seems so prevalent in muslim countries. And, until the political leaders of the west are willing to openly admit this hatred has much more to do with religion than geography and politics, we are going to constantly be surprised. Apparently there are muslims who are ready to convert and ready to suffer the consequences. I know one young man in my parish who has converted and his family (mom and dad) are worried he will be killed by some of his uncles if they find out. His family lives in Canada. He attends Mass in the US.

Rather than convert the sands of Afghanistan to glass (at this point anyway) why not airdrop millions of Bibles and New Testaments throughout the country. Beam Billy Graham sermons into every Afghani radio and TV set 24/7. That would be a true air assault (apologies to the 101).

Never said that. I called for the destruction of Mecca, Medina, and every mosque. That is different from nuking a country. The enemy is not a country...it is an ideology that must be destroyed. We did it with German national socialism and Japanese emperor worship.
Similarly, the destruction of Islam's holiest cities and its mosques will irreparably damage it. Can't rally around the 12th imam's coming to destroy the infidels when Allah couldn't protect anything held sacred by the Muslims.
