I actually heard one of the idiots on Cavuto's show yesterday say "Why should an American citizen have any more right to a job than an illegal alien?"

That's a good one, but I'm still sticking with Feinstein's 'illegals-are-citizens' for my Absurd Line 'o the Week ;-)

He's actually right about that. Too many American citizens need to be reminded that there is NO SUCH THING as a right to a job. So in fact, they have no more right to a job than illegal aliens do.

The right to vote, OTOH is something else entirely.

Folks, I had an eye-opening and scary visit to a California university a month ago. Invited by otherwise erstwhile "conservatives," my talks were well received by the students. But at dinner, the discussion---joined by a Libertarian philosophy prof---turned to immigration, and everyone was against secure borders.

I am for free trade, but I also am for national security first, and it was clear that to these people there was no such thing as securing our borders! The philosophy guy said he believed in the Declaration, but not the Constitution, which was just "a compromise."

Oh really? Later in discussing what rights Americans had, he invoked the Constitution, at which point I blew him out of the water by saying he couldn't use that---he had already claimed it was of no value!!

These pro-illegal Republicans and radical free-trade Libertarians must be weeded out for the GOP to have any chance of again becoming THE party of liberty and national security . . . and yes, they do go together.

I find nothing wrong with this statement. I think everybody who is within the borders should be able to work and pay his taxes.

Giving permanent resident status (greencards) to illegal aliens or giving them US citizenship is an entirely different issue. But I do believe that visitors, illegals, and everybody should have the freedom to work and pay taxes in this country.

This proves how much people in America have lost their education values, are maybe, what history teachers are teaching in the schools.
America has deposited a lot of blood on it's soil and the soil of other country's to maintain its freedom it enjoys today.
Mexico is taking America back, one person at a time. The Mexicans act as though it's their right to just come and be a part of its citizenry without going through the process of legality.
What ever protection we had in America is now gone, we have
been sold out by our reps. and other government Agnese's.

I heard Sen. Dianne Feinstein say that Mexicans clean our houses and watch our kids... Bull$#!T

Clean our houses? Maybe those rich liberal A$$#0LES need to create second class citizens to be their slaves. But they are playing a dangerous game. Creating a large group of second class citizens without the same rights as the rest of society is laying the foundation of our doom.

BUILD A FENCE, and enforce the law.

I've been telling people (anyone who would listen to me) for years that the reason that leftist WANT the "public school system" to fail, is in order to destroy education about what makes The United States of America special. If The USA isn't special, then why should being a citizen matter? And if citizenship doesn't matter, then neither do borders. Of course, try telling Vincente Fox that, if you're from Honduras or Guatemala. Then you'd have to deal with the Mexican army, making sure you can't get into Mexico, unless you're just passing through, on the way to the USA.

What I want to know is, if these people love Mexico so much, then why don't they want to stay there? More importantly, if they think that the USA is better, then why do they want to bring the living conditions from Mexico, here, when they're trying to get away from those living conditions?

Mark
