The MSM has given up. So we've taken over for them.

I don't think they gave up. I think they couldn't rationalize their position on the war with what was contained in the documents. Psychologists might call this cognitive dissonance. I call it selective ignorance or plausible deniability (a concept made popular by Bill Clinton).
