[The] Pab Sungenis [Project] is a novelty radio show I sometimes come across on shortwave. That Sungenis gets
his wackiness out constructively, playing oddball songs, not refuting reality.

Just wondering. I don't believe I've seen him on EWTN, not that I watch it, but I'll stop surfing if something looks
interesting. Or I type in the wrong digits on the number pad. (TV card...)

> Mars=Mercury... I think.

At TAC, there were two phrases you learned immediately upon entering. One was "With enough epicycles!". (The other was Aquinas' quote that "one may drink unto the point of hilarity!")

It is unfortunate that there are people who would rather see a Theocracy Government in the USA !

I liked his books refuting the Protestant doctrines of Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide. They were written before he adopted this lunacy, at least publicly.

Oh man, you know you're going to Hell for that doncha? Recant before it's too late.

So that would seem to conflict just a tad with the notion of stars lightyears away revolving around the Earth every 24 hours.

Everything else is on a transparent sphere just outside the orbit of the sun.

Geesh. Some people just have to be told everything.

No, I just couldn't remember offhand whether it was Mars or Mercury that shows retrograde motion. I think it's Mercury, but I originally said Mars.

Don't throw the cold water of facts on everyone's parade. They're having too much fun.

Sorry, is it to late to retract my comment?

I'll admit it IS interesting and thought provoking, notwithstanding the hecklers. When you think about the conventional wisdom that the Earth is hurtling eastward at, what, 1000 mph, why are objects as ephemeral as clouds apparently moving in tandem? Why wouldn't they be losing the race at some point due to the declining strength of the molecular pull?

In other words, if I am on a carousel and holding out a steel rod, it will certainly move in tandem with me because it is solid and connected. But if a hold out a balloon on a string, it will quickly lag behind.

Hmmm.

How does this idiot explain the seasons, or the tides?

"that would seem to conflict just a tad with the notion of stars lightyears away revolving around the Earth every 24 hours."

Very good point.

I suppose he claims the stars are much smaller and closer.

Or maybe just pinpricks in the shell of the turtle we are encased in, which lets in the light of heaven. (Or is that some Indian religion?)

A little problem in that various space probes have gone further than that and not reported smacking into any crystal spheres...

What a great country, eh?

I'd like to know what major publishing firm printed his 1,000 page tome.

The clouds are both being pushed by the same air mass, which is being moved, in part, by friction with the earth, and in part by temperature differences.
