yep. time for Bibi to retire and for Lieberman to take over the remnant of Likud. 23 seats makes you a player.

look for a weakening or reversal of the economic gains of the Bibi economy

Pensioners say they will achieve their goals within one year

If those turn out the final results, they will manage to screw everything up, particularly the economy, but Kadima's agenda of unilateral withdrawal will never occur.

If true, Israel has chosen death.

My thoughts exactly. However if the Palis and their allies reach that conclusion and act too boldly, rather than continuing to boil the frog, things could still change.

Still, don't look for forceful action by the Israelis against the Iranian nuclear threat. The US (and maybe the UK) will have to take care of that ourselves.

Warm up the B-2s.

Separation from the Arabs is not death. It is our greatest hope for a secure future.

Likud finished fourth, BTW. The "right" includes Yisrael Beitenu (finished third) and Avigdor Lieberman is in favor of putting the Arabs outside our borders. He even wants to withdraw from Umm al-Fahm and other Arab towns in Israel proper (inside the Green line). UTJ sat in coalition during disengagement, and Shas is likely to be in coalition as well. Likely seats against separation: under 25. Prime Minister Olmert should be able to get 85-90 votes for. He needs 61.

Not good news!

Correct. I bigger victory for Kadima would have been much better.

Much stronger, but those who support our right fringe won't agree.

I guess the Israelis don't wish to "study war no more" and are now in the position of the post WW-I Brits who would "not fight for King and country".

We know where that lead. Six Million dead Jews, millions more of other "undesirables", and millions just caught in the crossfire. This action leads to just as dark a place.

You are assuming that the separation will hold, and the land the Palestinians get will sate them. A guy named Chamberlain thought the same, and thought he had achieved "Peace in Our Time". He hadn't. The enemies of his country were not nearly so close, nor so numerous compared to his own country.

Separation is a fantasy.

All that is being done is unilateral withdrawals with the land being taken over by terrorists who will import more and deadlier weapons.

The wall will protect no one.

You are living in the Land of La La if you believe that "separation" can work if Jews are the only ones who are displaced.

Remove every last Jew from surrendered "territories" and you still have a huge hostile and privileged Arab population who must NEVER EVER BE UPROOTED FROM THEIR BELOVED OLIVE TREES and who are demanding NOT ENOUGH, WE WANT MORE LAND, MORE CONCESSIONS, AND THE RIGHT OF RETURN.

The right fringe? As opposed to the left fringe?

Separation is great. Look at the great results from the Gaza
separation.

Amazing!...As the Palestinians become more and more dangerous, the Israelis become more and more liberal. They are signing their own death sentence.

Hi ho..hi ho...in to the death chamber we go?

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem..."

Oh the tears. I am weeping for Israel. This Scripture was the first that came to mind when I read this post.
