I knew there was a good reason President Clinton ordered anthrax vaccinations for all military personnel serving in the Persian Gulf! Too bad alot of us got the contaminated batches in 1997.

Wow. This UN document is loaded. Here is just one example. Saddam manufactored industrial quantities of VX nerve gas from May 1985 until at least December 1990.

56. Based on the new findings, it is now clear that the VX programme began at least as early as May 1985 and continued without interruption until December 1990. The Commission has concluded that VX was produced on an industrial scale. Precursor and agent storage and stabilization problems were solved. Furthermore, one of Iraq's documents on this subject, dated 1989, proposes "the creation of strategic storage of the substance (VX - hydrochloride, one step from conversion into VX) so it can be used at any time if needed".

57. Significant in this context is Iraq's admission, in September 1995, of the production in 1990 of 65 tonnes of choline, a chemical used exclusively for the production of VX. This amount would be sufficient for the production of approximately 90 tonnes of VX. Furthermore, Iraq had, inter alia, over 200 tons each of the precursors phosphorous pentasulphide and di-isopropylamine. These quantities would be sufficient to produce more than 400 tonnes of VX. At present, there is no conclusive evidence to support Iraq's claims concerning the complete disposal of these two precursors and the choline.

So how long was that convoy of trucks that went to Syria ?

Please note - The link to the Freerepublic thread titled "Iraqi Document Mentions Anthrax" in post 1 should be removed. Jveritas has found that the English field translation attached to the arabic document on the Leavenworth site is not correct.

The UN document that this specific thread concerns however is extremely interesting and is also currently available on the UN site.

To all the libs in denial the plain truth is that Hussein was identified by UNSCOM as having large quantities of wmds. He has never shown any proof that he destroyed any amount of them. What conclusion can a rational person come to other than he still has them? It's that simple and easy to understand...as long as an irrational hatred for Republicans and George Bush doesn't cause a person to have their head jammed up their hindquarters.
