Wrong or Right I had a "Impeach Clinton" sticker on my bumper while I was in the Army, when I was told (Ticketed) to remove it I explained it was on the Wife's Side, and she had a Right to express her opinion, (on my side I had a sticker for Allen Keyes)

I wish I would have kept the Tickets.

The very subject of the bumper sticker tells a lot about her character. I think that there should be some law against displaying vulgar bumper stickers and while I'm at it, they should include T-shirts, some are just plain disgusting.

"...if they were getting written up..."

So? Does that mean it's okay? Yes, I suppose it is for those who want to see any decency and culture this country ever had being flushed down the toilet.

I've been around long enough to say, without any doubt, that too many Americans are hell-bent on destroying values which have made this country great. I suspect that many of them are too stupid, too selfish, to even consider the consequences. The fallout is all over the place! Wake up and look, people!

People who put bumper stickers on cars ought to have a "kick me" sticker on the back of their heads.

WTF? Where were you stopped? What is so vulgar about these stickers that you were asked to remove them?

"...she is responsible for raising children."

Add to that oncology nurse. We're better off being ignorant of what goes on in the private lives of our doctors and nurses...I guess.

Imagine finding out that one's doctor makes regular visits to a house of ill-repute. (Don't get upset...I made that up!) My point was, do we care about what our caretakers do in their private lives if we trust them with ours?

IMO this mother of three does not care who reads her bumper sticker, your young child or mind. (Gag).

I was Ticketed on Base, I was in the Army, Clinton was our CIC

I could have gotten into a LOT more trouble but as it was, most agreed with me...

I will never know, the Tickets are still outstanding, I never responded.

TT

Do these people not care what the eyes of children observe?

Uh, no. Not at all. Their solution is for nice people to keep their children confined to their houses with the shades drawn. The public space has gone from being generally G-rated to being R-rated in the name of liberty. This is a good illustration of why liberty practiced without responsibility is detrimental to a civil society. It forces nice people to hide in their homes while obnoxious people roam free.

LOVE IT!! Seeing the 'Toon suck the patriotic life out of our Armed Forces (like a Vampire) was one of the more disheartening experiences of my life - that fact was largely responsible for my decision to leave when I did....

Thank God for Dubya!!!!!!!!!!!!

People need to watch what they say and watch what they do.

Yep, liberal Democrats can use all the potty mouth they want while they sodomize their toddlers in the comfort of their own kitchens, but that doesn't mean they can expose the children of normal Americans to bumper-sticker profanity. I hope this scumbag ends up in jail.

Lewd means sexually explicit (e.g. the eff word) not excretionally explicit (e.g. the ess word or the pee word). If this is what the ordinance says and her lawyer has half a brain she'll win.

"Lewd means sexually explicit"

I agree with that 100% but just to be sure lets check and see what the dictionary has to offer:

"Preoccupied with sex and sexual desire; lustful."

Additionally, for all the people on this forum that might not know. Last time I checked, the word Bushit wasn't considered a swear word nor profane. It is not on any blacklists for the censors and can be used whenever and where ever you want. In fact, last time I checked, it wasn't even a word.

Therefore, you people and the officer involved in this waste of tax payers money have no grounds for any type of complaint based on the law. I would also like to point out that it is disgusting that anyone would get this upset over something as trivial and meaningless as bumper sticker. Have any of you looked around at the tremendous problems facing this country right now? And this is what you're upset about?

One more thing, in response to this ludicrous statement:

"This is a good illustration of why liberty practiced without responsibility is detrimental to a civil society. It forces nice people to hide in their homes while obnoxious people roam free"

A bumper sticker... on the back of some idiot's car... is a good example in your mind of why liberty practiced without responsibility is detrimental to a civil society?

Really?

Who got hurt by this bumper sticker? And this is a question that anyone can feel free to jump in on. Lets look at all the horror! And terror! That might have resulted from seeing this bumper sticker:

Scenario one: A 2 year old sees the sticker, has no idea what it means, continues to play with a ball of lint.

Scenario two: A 4 year old sees the sticker, has no idea what it means, pulls his sister's pigtail.

Scenario three: A 6 year old sees the sticker, says to his mom "What's that say?" and his mom says "Who wants pizza tonight?" and the kid promptly forgets about the sticker.

Scenario four: An 8 year old sees it... oh God... the 8 year old might actually be able to seperate the words and grasp its meaning. However, unless the 8 year old is home schooled in the middle of Oregon by religious zealots, chances are he has already read/heard language ten times worse and therefore provided his parenting is good, won't think anything of it.

The children will be fine ladies and gentleman. I was a child once, and you know what? I don't wake up screaming in the middle of the night pulling my hair out because of a bumper sticker I read as a child that said something like "Ditch the bitch let's go fishin'"

You know why? Because anyone with even one eighth of a brain is intelligent enough to read something like that and either not care, or laugh. So what is this really about?

It's not about the children. It's about you. Yeah, I'm talking to you Mr. selfish. You're upset because someone poked fun at your team. And everyone wants their team to win. But does it really matter?

When did you people murder your sense of humor? Did it happen overnight? Or was it some long drawn out painful process? It fascinates me that there is a cross-section of this country that is so bitter and desperate to attack anything that they will actually launch into this sort of seething hate against something as simple as a joke bumper sticker.

I hope the majority of the country doesn't think like you people, because if so, God help us. Oops I said God, and God is offensive to some so we better edit that out of this post. Can't say God, Can't say Bushit, certainly can't say Bitch, can't show a picture of a donkey because a donkey is an ass and ass is a swear.

Grow up.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'm sure there is at least one person here smart enough to come up with something better than a "If you don't like it, leave!" comment. You're apparently not that person. Thanks for the effort though.
