Why is it so difficult for the left to face the reality that there are inherent differences between men and women? Could there be a successful woman president? Of course. Margret Thatcher proves that it is possible. But clamoring for a woman president just because we haven't yet had one sounds a lot like some sort of weird affirmative action to me. Stong female leaders are like white baseketball players.

A quota for elected officials, doesn't seem very democratic to me

Indeed. That's why I think the "Condi v Hillary" showdown that so many stump for is a dumb idea. Perhaps we'll see a day when the most qualified candidate is a woman - but when that's the case it's usually because the men have become bums. No, when a woman is elected president of the United States it will be a sign of God's judgment in my view.
