America needs a President brave enough to tell Vicente Fox to jump in a lake. We send factories and jobs to Mexico, and all Fox gives us in return are insults, not to mention truckloads of poor people. We should be slapping Mexico with reparations for all the billions we spend on programs for illegal aliens or at least demand more oil.

President Fox has called U.S. border control efforts in San Diego and Texas “discriminatory.”

and they should be - these efforts should discriminate between those who legally enter the country and those who do so illegally. it is like discriminating between a good steak and a maggot-feast. discrimination is a GOOD thing.

He said those of us opposed to illegal immigration are part of “minority, xenophobic, discriminatory groups.”

well, if knowing my classical history and applying that knowledge to the current conditions makes me a minority... so be it.
If believing that my country should allow only my countrymen and those earnestly seeking to become my countryment to exist within its borders makes me "xenophobic"... so be it.
If judging Mexican culture inferior to that residue of the healthy vigorous culture of my country makes me "discriminatory"... so f[beep!]ing BE IT.

Most Americans don't get it.

Mexicans generally regard California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas as part of Mexico, that had been stolen from them. Now that these states are developed with a vibrant economy, they come to the US to take back what is historically theirs.

This is no joke. Several Mexicans have stated this to me as a matter of fact. The illegal alien "problem" is not about amnesty, or temporary work permits. It is about creeping, intergenerational reconquest of the Southern USA by Mexicans, since they have no hope to do so by force of arms.

This is also the hidden agenda of the Mexican government aided by such institutions as the church and the Mexican Army drug smuggling operation.

We simply should round up all illegals and ship them south, and wall off the border. Enforce the law as it is now.

The US almost went to war with Japan in the late '20's early '30's over immigration. What's to stop us now with Mexico except for the people who want to hand over everything over to a third world country without a fight? I for one will not stand for it.

I heard someone say, this week, that we buy ALL of Mexico's oil. Can anyone verify that? That, to me, puts us at the receiving end of anything Vicente-baby wants to dish out.

Yeah, but when were Iowa, Nebraska, and North Carolina part of Mexico?

This is really getting stupid. Freepers are now saying GWB is not a brave President, nor a man that is got the best interest of this country as the #1 goal in his life.
OK, be stupid, forget the war, and forget trying to solve the illegal problem(we are not going to get everything we want all at once), go to war against the best POTUS in my lifetime. And when you are telling your grandkids about somethings that we used to have, tax cuts,a strong military, conservative judges on the Supreme Court, you will be able to brag how you helped kill all that.
Oh, and don`t forget to send terrible Tom his $$.

President Bush should reach out, and knock some sense into him.

Best president in your lifetime, boy you must be young.

I voted for Bush twice and regret I did. His Iraq war was a stupid mistake and he's selling out my kid's future to get a few Mexican votes.

Over the last five years Bush and the GOP Congress have done nothing to solve the problem of open borders and illegal aliens. If the Congress votes to give illegals a guest worker road to amnesty, it wil mean more Hispanic votes for the Democrats. Think about it.

"forget trying to solve the illegal problem"

The only way bush is trying to solve the illegal problem is by changing their name. Illegal would now be guest worker. No more illegals. Problem solved.

Fox's party is about to lose to the furthest left element running for the national election...

His nationalist overtures and pandering are nothing more than the dying gasps of man who represents Mexico's feeble attempt at joining the 'westernized' world...

If you here a sucking sound that is Mexico about to go down the [Chavez] rat-hole...

Fox has failed lift Mexico out of its crap-hole, and he has had the best contemporary opportunity to do so...

Fox is a pathetic pandering politician...not unlike the crap that populates Washington today...

Mexico is being swallowed by the socialista tide that has consumed central and south America...

If you thought Fox was a fool, you were right. If you thought Fox was an adversary...wait until you meet the Mayor of Mexico City...

Yup, until the next non-amnesty amnesty is enacted by Congress.

I wish I was young, I do remember Vietnam and what those 'sunshine warrors" cost us. Iraq was a very tough but, correct call, and, what would you do as President, besides something in your pants, to solve the problem?
Notice you forgot to mention 9/11.

CAPTION:

Dubya: "My good buddy Vicente just told me that he'd really help us with the border by putting troops in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. I think we have a deal!

Fox: (thinking to himself -"Oh I'll protect the border - with Oklahoma")
