It is so sad to see Republicans selling out for cheap labor. It just reinforces what everyone believes about Republicans...that they are all rich business men.

I was listening to Rush and he had a caller on who lives near him in Florida. The caller said he was in the farming business and that it had been good to him, which is why he is able to live near Rush. He said he couldn't find Americans willing to work on his farms.

All I could think of was I wonder why???? You live like a king yet refuse to pay an honest, working American a decent wage to work for you.

I want to switch my registration to Independent but then I won't be able to vote in the primaries. I am still considering it however.

This new breed of "republican" worships at the altar of the dollar. Whatever is good for their pocket, that's it. They would sell their mother for a dollar if they could.

God forbid you say anything you are branded a commie or DU member. What these idiots fail to acknowledge is that the whole premise of capitilism is that you are dealing with some sort of decency and standards. A free for all will end in chaos and anarchy like South America.

As far as I am concerned, I will never volunteer my time again for the GOP. I did it twice, no more.

"You live like a king yet refuse to pay an honest, working American a decent wage to work for you."

What is the definition of living like a king?
What do you think is a fair wage is for a farm worker, doing what job?
How much do YOU know about farming?

I hope that you had a chance to read Thomas Sowell's latest column about illegals and the farming industry. He talks about the surpluses that we have with crops. He questioned whether we need more illegals to have more surpluses(surpluses that we've had for some time). These people are only concerned with their own self-interests-at the expense of the American taxpayer. I feel that if you can't run your business without me having to subsidize it-medical care, housing...the list goes on, then you don't need to be in business. As for Bush, I'm so sorry that I voted for him. He is betraying this nation on this issue.

The perfect response?

"Oh, yes, I can imagine it would be difficult to find Americans who will work that cheap, considering we outlawed slavery a hundred and fifty years ago. So tell me, do you get your slaves from Mexico or Central America?"

If The Wall Street Journal, whose readership is largely that of "rich business men" is any indication, that is absolutely true. The Journal's editorial pages and its "news pages" endorse allowing more and more aliens into this country. More workhands, you see.

I subscribe to the WSJ (but I'm not a rich business man) and I don't read its news pages (too liberal, really, they are) and have gotten to be angry about their editorials on the immigration issue. I read the other sections, which are excellent.

I heard this A-hole, and you mirror my sentiments about him and his type exactly. This is the answer to the bogus economic excuse, in one easy piece.

I'd really like to know how many illegals President Bush has working out on his ranch.
