Who's rights trump who's?

I don't think it's so much a matter of "Who's rights trump who's?" as it is a matter of "Which rights trump which?"

The court decided that the right of one member of the party to forbid entry supercedes the other's right to allow it. It's not granting the husband more power than the wife. If the roles were reversed, then the wife's right to disallow entry would rule.
