The Confederate Battle Flag was the low-hanging fruit in this socialist movement and the neo-cons dance to their tune. It was an easy symbol to get NAACP membership up and fire up folks for a while. Hoot and holler, threaten boycotts around the CBF, call some folks racist - you know the drill. It got press and the media loved it.
Now there are other objectives: removal of "racist" team mascots, change historical school names, roads, shoot they are even trying to change entire names of cities.
Removal of state flags, removal of the motto "In God We Trust" from money, removal of prayer from school, removal of ten commandments from public displays.
Removal of soldiers graves, dorm building names, monuments, historical markers, battlefields.
Since we didn't stand up for certain American historical memorials, they're coming back for more. They will keep taking until the foundations of our country are dismantled.

Communism, along with political correctness, did not die, it just moved to the USA.
Living in post Socialist central Europe,(not to be confused with west Europe) I see a new life among people who are tasting freedom for the first time, and enjoying it.
