I don't know much about prisons (having no personal experience of prison incarceration) but from the little I do know, if one is going to do something illegal, where one might wind up incarcerated for any length of time, for one reason or another, it is best to be sentenced to a Federal prison.
At least that's the "word" on the street.

The Human Events take on it was satire, but the original article was not.
Yeah I heard that federal prisons are less "invasive" but still the only crimes that should be punished at the federal level should be treason.
I'm in the minority in believing that criminals who commit crimes across state borders should be tried and punished in each state in which they commit a crime rather than at the federal level.
