Europe's botched civilization, perverted by socialism and lost faith, seems to have lost the will, the passion to sustain itself. If it continues to practice today's multiculturalist leftism, Europe's demographic doom will be sealed. Some harbingers:
In Brussels, Belgium, the most popular name for baby boys is now Mohammad. Sustaining the population of a nation requires that on average each couple gives birth to 2.1 children. The average European couple now has fewer than 1.4 babies, compared to 3.6 babies born to the average Muslim immigrant couple in Europe. Across Western Europe 16 to 20 percent of babies are being born into Muslim families. In France at least 12 percent of the population is already Muslim, the fruits mostly of immigrants from former French colonies in North Africa. If present birth trends continue, by 2030 a quarter of France's people will be Muslim, more than enough to determine who controls the national parliament and executive. As this columnist recently noted, the nuclear-armed French military is already 15 percent Muslim. Adjacent Switzerland is now 20 percent Muslim. The German newspaper Deutsche Welle days ago reported that Germany's birth rate in 2005 fell to a level lower than at the end of World War II, to a "historic low," more than fifty percent lower than those of France and Great Britain. But at a meeting this week in Berlin that brought together the interior ministers of six European nations, Germany's leftwing Social Democrats continued to oppose the application of any test or standard that would restrict who could migrate into Germany.
The burgeoning Muslim population within Europe is not evenly spread. It is largely concentrated in and around big cities, whose local politicians feel its pressure acutely and often bend to that pressure. In the Netherlands the cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam nearly have Muslim majorities now.
These Islamic enclaves are already taking on the character of conquered provinces that no longer belong to the European countries around them. As FrontPage Magazine recently quoted from the new book While Europe Slept by liberal American expatriate Bruce Bawer:
In France, a public official met with an imam at the edge of Roubaix's Muslim district out of respect for his declaration of the neighborhood as Islamic territory to which she had no right of access. In Britain, imams have pressed the government to officially designate certain areas of Bradford as being under Muslim, not British, law. In Denmark, Muslim leaders have sought the same kind of control over parts of Copenhagen. And in Belgium, Muslims living in the Brussels neighborhood of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek already view it not as part of Belgium but as an area under Islamic jurisdiction in which Belgians are not welcome.
Congressman demands
new OKC bomb probe
Rohrabacher sees foreign connection,
conspiracy beyond McVeigh, Nichols

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher
WASHINGTON Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., is calling for a congressional investigation of the Oklahoma City bombing because of evidence of a foreign connection and a conspiracy broader than Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols.
In a memo written to Rep. Henry Hyde, chairman of the House International Relations Committee, Rohrabacher said he has spent 12 months personally investigating the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that killed 168 and concluded "there is ample evidence to justify an investigative hearing into this historic crime."
The focus of the probe, he suggests, should be "Was there a foreign connection to the Oklahoma City bombing?"
"The official position today, defended by the FBI and Justice Department, is that the OKC bombing, which left 168 persons dead, was planned and executed solely by two disgruntled veterans, Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, with the limited involvement of Michael Fortier," writes Rohrabacher. "After my inquiry I have concluded that others were involved and that information about the bombing is being kept from the public and from the Congress. The jurisdiction of my Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations extends only to the possible international and foreign involvement in the crime. Even within that framework there is ample evidence to justify an investigative hearing."

Current Communist Goals
EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Thursday, January 10, 1963
Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is
an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently
published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of
alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.
At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under
unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which
she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon
Skousen:
[From "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen]
CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic
war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic
war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States
would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist
affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for
war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist
domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of
Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free
elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United
States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in
progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is
rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with
its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders
believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by
Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as
they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American
institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for
socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum.
Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or
organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments,
editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of
artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to
"eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute
shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to
promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them
"censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting
pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures,
radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal,
natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social"
religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual
maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the
schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of
church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate,
old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to
cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish
aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching
of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the
"big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the
Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over
any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs,
mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation
of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social
agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which
no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as
a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose
Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and
easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative
influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding
of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are
legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and
special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to
solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are
ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot
prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic
problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and
individuals alike.
1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with
statewide and nationwide hate-crime bills.
2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev.
Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote
Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting
Christianity is for whites only. What they fail to tell African-
Americans is that it was Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them
as slaves. In fact, the Arabic word for black and slave is the
same, ''Abed.''
3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in
colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and
mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically
another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same
monotheistic faith.
4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office to bring about
favorable legislation toward Islam and support potential sympathizers
by block voting.
5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press, TV, radio and the
Internet as possible by buying the related corporations or a
controlling stock.
6. Yield to the fear of the imminent shut-off of the lifeblood of
America black gold. America's economy depends on oil and 41 percent
of it comes from the Middle East.
7. Yell ''foul, out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime,
Zionist, un- American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran''
anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public
arena.
8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with
Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of
Islam. Acquire government positions and get membership in local
school boards. Train Muslims as medical doctors to dominate the
medical field, research and pharmaceutical companies. (Ever notice
how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need
them more desperately than America?) Take over the computer industry.
Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect
planners of Islamization in a discreet way.
9. Accelerate Islamic demographic growth via:
Massive immigration (100,000 annually since 1961).
Use no birth control whatsoever every baby of Muslim parents is
automatically a Muslim and cannot choose another religion later.
Muslim men must marry American women and Islamize them (10,000
annually). Then divorce them and remarry every five years since one
can't legally marry four at one time. This is a legal solution in
America.
Convert angry, alienated black inmates and turn them into militants
(so far 2,000 released inmates have joined al-Qaida worldwide). Only
a few ''sleeper cells'' have been captured in Afghanistan and on
American soil.
10. Reading, writing, arithmetic and research through the American
educational system, mosques and student centers (now 1,500) should be
sprinkled with dislike of Jews, evangelical Christians and democracy.
There are currently 300 exclusively Muslim schools in the U.S. which
teach loyalty to the Quran, not the U.S. Constitution. In January of
2002, Saudi Arabia's Embassy in Washington mailed 4,500 packets of
the Quran and videos promoting Islam to America's high schools free
of charge. Saudi Arabia would not allow the U.S. to reciprocate.
11. Provide very sizeable monetary Muslim grants to colleges and
universities in America to establish ''Centers for Islamic studies''
with Muslim directors to promote Islam in higher-education
institutions.
12. Let the entire world know through propaganda, speeches, seminars,
local and national media that terrorists have hijacked Islam, when in
truth, Islam hijacked the terrorists.
13. Appeal to the historically compassionate and sensitive Americans
for sympathy and tolerance towards Muslims in America who are
portrayed as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.
14. Nullify America's sense of security by manipulating the
intelligence community with misinformation. Periodically terrorize
Americans with reports of impending attacks on bridges, tunnels,
water supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls.
15. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison system demanding
Islamic Sharia as the way of life, not America's justice system.
16. Open numerous charities throughout the U.S., but use the funds to
support Islamic terrorism with American dollars.
17. Raise interest in Islam on America's campuses by insisting
freshman take at least one course on Islam.
18. Unify the numerous Muslim lobbies in Washington, mosques, Islamic
student centers, educational organizations, magazines and papers by
Internet and an annual convention to coordinate plans, propagate the
faith and engender news in the media.
19. Send intimidating messages and messengers to the outspoken
individuals who are critical of Islam and seek to eliminate them by
hook or crook.
20. Applaud Muslims as loyal citizens of the U.S. by spotlighting
their voting record as the highest percentage of all minority and
ethic groups in America.

Americans Must Maintain Resolve to Win Long War, General Says
By Jim Garamone
American Forces Press Service
WASHINGTON, March 20, 2006 Extremists cannot hope to match the United States and its coalition allies in battle, but that might not matter at all. Al Qaeda and like terrorist groups understand that they only have to win the battle for American resolve to be successful, a top military strategy official said.
Americans are an impatient people, and that impatience will work against final victory in what many people are now calling "the Long War," Army Brig. Gen. Robert L. Caslen Jr. , the Joint Staff's director of strategy for the global war on terrorism, said in an interview.
The Long War is more than just the battle in Iraq or Afghanistan, and calling the struggle the Long War does not mean that U. S. troops will be in those nations for a long time. Rather, is the term refers to the overall struggle against the ideology of extremism, the general explained.
Defeating an ideology is tough and will require time and resources to win, Caslen said. Defeating the appeal of fascism took almost 25 years. The appeal of this "ism" began soon after World War I ended and was not defeated until the Allies defeated the Nazis in 1945. Defeating the ideology of communism took most of the 20th century and the long-term resolve of the Cold War.
The United States has proven it can maintain this resolve. The Cold War against an expansionist Soviet Union began soon after World War II ended and ran through the implosion of the nation in 1991. The temperature of the Cold War heated and cooled through the era -- hotter in Korea, Berlin and Vietnam -- but the core of the struggle remained, and it was the grandchildren of those who began the struggle who reaped its benefits.
It will be the same with extremism and terrorism, Caslen said. Americans must retain that resolve and commitment as the war on terrorism continues, he said.
The terrorists have a battle plan, just as Adolph Hitler did. And like Hitler did in "Mein Kampf," al Qaeda and affiliated groups have published their strategic goals, Caslen said.
Their first goal is to drive America from Iraq and establish Islamic authority in the country. This would give the extremists a base to operate from and would help in their second goal, which is to go after and defeat all neighboring "apostate" states -- Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey, Syria, Iran and Jordan. These countries, terrorist groups have claimed, have abandoned Islamic ideals.
The third step is to destroy Israel. The fourth step would be to establish a Caliphate -- a government under a supreme religious ruler -- stretching from Central Asia to the Atlantic.
"Could it happen?" Caslen asked. "Yes. If we lose our resolve. "
Studies have shown that it takes on average nine years to successfully put down an insurrection, the general said. Studies have also shown that the American peoples' support begins to wane after about three years, he said. Through American history the three-year mark seems to be important.
In 1864, after three years of battles and lengthening casualty lists in the U. S. Civil War, a large peace group blossomed throughout the North.
After three years of war in the 1950s, the United States pushed for an armistice to end fighting on the Korean Peninsula.
In 1968, three years after the first major U. S. combat units landed near Da Nang, South Vietnam, the peace movement in the United States significantly matured.
"So if it takes nine years to overcome an insurrection but the American people only have three years of patience, that leaves you a six-year gap," Caslen said.
Convincing Americans to maintain their resolve becomes a strategic necessity. "Americans would be much more patient with this struggle if they understood what the implications are," Caslen said.
Caslen wondered aloud what the effect on the West would be if extremists were to be successful in their goals. "How would life change? Could free and democratic societies survive? Even if they could, life would be completely different," he said.
Countries would have to curtail freedoms, Caslen said, because if such enemies got weapons of mass destruction they would threaten much of the world. "Osama bin Laden said that it is the religious duty of all Muslims to acquire weapons of mass destruction and use them against the 'infidel,'" Caslen said. "If (bin Laden) had the chance to use asymmetric threats and kill 3 million people instead of 3,000 (on Sept. 11, 2001,) he would have. "
A war of ideas exists within Islam between the small numbers of extremists and the vast moderate majority, Caslen said. American strategy, therefore, needs to concentrate on defeating not only extremists in arms, but stopping people from joining extremist organizations.
U. S. strategy has to be aimed at improving conditions around the world so the percentage of those who believe in such extremism shrinks. "Even if just one percent of Muslims worldwide believe in the extremist, terrorist interpretation of Islam, that's 12 million people," Caslen said.

When students launch a series of country-wide

alerts Washington to several issues that come up
again and again in subsequent documents: the
potential danger posed by the strikes to the
Olympic Games, their political significance, and
the role of the international left. This CIA
analysis discusses Cuban influence on a student
strike at the University of Veracruz. Demonstrators
seek to disrupt the Olympic games, although the
PRI electoral fraud in local and gubernatorial

hospital. A source tells the DIA that the Mexican
Army had taken good care of the 18 foreigners
(including some Cubans) involved in the events at
Tlatelolco. When asked to clarify, the source said
"good care" meant detention.

U.S. Warns of Possible Terrorist Attacks in Indonesia Tomorrow
April 1 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. cautioned its citizens about possible terrorist attacks taking place in Indonesia tomorrow, following a similar warning from the Australian government yesterday.
Attacks on Western targets may occur ``any time, anywhere'' in Indonesia, the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta said in a statement on its Web site. Intelligence reports indicate Sunday April 2, 2006, could be one potential date for an attack, the statement said.
``Reports suggest attacks could include targeting individual American citizens,'' the Embassy said in the statement dated March 31. ``Recent demonstrations in Jakarta and elsewhere against U.S. Government facilities and U.S. businesses resulted in property damage, serious injuries and several deaths.''
The Embassy said Americans should avoid crowds, maintain a low profile, and be vigilant about their security at all times.
A series of terrorist attacks have occurred in Indonesia in the past four years including bombings in 2002 in Bali that killed 202 people and a second attack on the island last October killing 23 people. Indonesia blamed these on the Jemaah Islamiyah terrorist group, which is linked to al-Qaeda.
Nine people were killed in a bomb explosion outside Australia's embassy in Indonesia's capital in September 2004.
``Terrorist attacks against Westerners in Bali and Jakarta indicate these areas are a priority target for terrorists in Indonesia,'' Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said on its Web site yesterday. Australians are advised to ``reconsider your need to travel to Indonesia, including Bali.''
Indonesia last week said it identified an Indonesian national with suspected links to the al-Qaeda network as the new leader of Jemaah Islamiyah, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported at the time.
The new chief is Abu Dujana, who had weapons training in Afghanistan and met al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, the ABC cited Colonel Petrus Golose, deputy commander of Indonesia's anti-terrorism unit, as saying.

Hole discovered drilled into pipe at Miami-Dade nuclear reactor
Associated Press
FLORIDA CITY, Fla. - Officials conducting a routine inspection of a nuclear reactor at the Turkey Point power plant found a small holed drilled into a pipe that helps maintain pressure, and investigators were trying to determine if the hole was drilled accidentally or deliberately, Florida Power & Light officials said Saturday.
The nuclear reactor, one of two at the Miami-Dade County power plant, had been shut down for a routine refueling, FPL spokeswoman Rachel Scott said.
The 1/8-inch hole was discovered late Thursday during a series of tests and inspections performed before bringing the unit back online, Scott said.
Other maintenance work had been performed in the area where the hole was found, Scott said.
FPL, the state's largest electric utility, repaired the damaged piping and, though the company's investigation continues, plans to bring the unit back into service in about a week, she said.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission and FBI are also conducting their own investigations.
"We want to make sure that we do a very thorough investigation and that we evaluate all possibilities," Scott said.
FPL customers were not affected by the routine shutdown, Scott said. The power plant's second nuclear unit as well as two units powered by oil and natural gas were fully operational, and the plant was in no danger, she said.
Florida City is about 30 miles southwest of Miami.

New info....
Al-Qaeda plotters sought Canadian as pilot, court told
TU THANH HA AND COLIN FREEZE
From Saturday's Globe and Mail
A Montreal resident was picked by al-Qaeda plotters to be a pilot in a second wave of suicide hijackings to follow the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks because he was a Canadian citizen, a deposition filed at the U.S. trial of terror suspect Zacarias Moussaoui alleges.
Abderraouf Jdey, a Montrealer of Tunisian origin who is now a fugitive, obtained his Canadian citizenship in 1995. He was selected along with Mr. Moussaoui, a French citizen, because they had passports from Western countries, since al-Qaeda planners expected tighter security after Sept. 11, the court document says.
Al Qaeda wanted the second wave operatives to carry French, Canadian, Malaysian, or Indonesian passports instead of Middle Eastern passports, the document says.
The 58-page document is the first detailed account of what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11 plot, told U.S. interrogators after his capture in 2003.
The document says that Mr. Mohammed used only operatives from the Middle East for the first wave of attacks so as not to draw attention to the possibility of later hijacks by people using passports from other countries.
The deposition was filed at the U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., for the death-penalty trial of Mr. Moussaoui.
Mr. Jdey, whose name is also transliterated as al-Jiddi, is a shadowy figure who gained notoriety after the Federal Bureau of Investigation identified him as a terror suspect in 2002. A $5-million (U.S.) reward was offered for his capture.
The U.S. commission probing the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks first identified Mr. Jdey as a candidate for the 9/11 strikes or for a later attack, but did not elaborate.
The deposition explains for the first time that Mr. Jdey was picked because he had obtained Canadian citizenship, citing Mr. Mohammed, al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and his top military lieutenant until 2001, Mohammad Atef, also known as Abu Hafs al-Masri.
Sheikh Mohammed, Abu Hafs and bin Laden agreed that finding non-Arab passport holders was a priority because it would be difficult for Middle Eastern passport holders to operate in the U.S. after 9/11, the document says.
It also gives specifics about the allegations against Mr. Jdey, who is identified by one of his pseudonyms, Faruq Al-Tunisi:
Mr. Jdey and Mr. Moussaoui were among three candidates to be pilots in the second wave of hijackings, which entailed the same steps as the Sept. 11 hijackers: getting flight lessons, purchasing knives, etc.
(Contradicting the deposition, which portrays him as an unreliable, problematic operative, Mr. Moussaoui claimed in court this week that he was supposed to hijack a plane on Sept. 11 and crash it into the White House.)
The second wave's targets were to be in the western United States, such as an unidentified bridge in San Francisco, but the Sears Tower in Chicago was also mentioned.
While the 9/11 operation evolved into an East Coast attack, bin Laden himself advised that a second wave attack should focus on the West, believing that security might be more lax there.
A few months before Sept. 11, Mr. Jdey withdrew from the plot. Faruq Al-Tunisi contacted Sheikh Mohammed from Canada during the summer of 2001 to back out, the filing says with no further explanation.
In any event, the second wave never took place.
Sheikh Mohammed had no idea that the damage of the first attack would be as catastrophic as it was, and he did not plan on the U.S. responding to the attacks as fiercely as they did, which led to the next phase being postponed, the deposition says.
While the document does not elaborate on how the second wave attackers would have trained, it offers fresh details on the preparation of the Sept. 11 operatives.
It says, for example, that the muscle hijackers, who were to take over the planes, butchered sheep and a camel with Swiss knives to prepare them for using their knives during the hijackings.
They were not immediately told of their targets and were also taught how to blow up buildings, trains and trucks to muddy somewhat the real purpose of their training in case they were caught while in transit to the U.S.
Mr. Jdey first came to the FBI's attention after he was among five men whose wills and martyrdom videotapes were found in the Kabul home of Mr. Atef, who was killed during the U.S. bombing campaign in Afghanistan in late 2001.
Mr. Jdey came to Canada as an independent immigrant, on a visa issued in Rabat, Morocco. He landed at Montreal's Mirabel International Airport in April of 1991. According to the U.S. State Department's Rewards for Justice program, Mr. Jdey studied biology while in Montreal.
Mr. Jdey lived in a modest apartment building in Montreal's east-end Rosemont district and is believed to have left Canada in November of 2001.

France intervenes in Groznian revolt
Submitted by WW4 Report on Sat, 04/01/2006 - 05:39.
An elite French expeditionary force has been dispatched to Groznia, the breakaway highland region of the Central Asian republic of Kalamaristan.
snip
Meanwhile, conspiracy blogger Justin Ruppert Nimmo writes that "the so-called 'Groznian revolt' is obviously a 'false flag' operation by Mossad to lure France into a draining quagmire because she heroically stood up to Bush and the necons." He insisted that Aslan Gulbuddin Khan doesn't even exist, but is "a straw man of the Straussian neocon puppetmasters."
The respected national security think-tank Stratcom.for asserts that the real "strategic interest" behind the intervention is French investments in Groznia's mineral water resources.
snip
The anti-terrorist Williamsburg Foundation calls Groznian warlord Gulbuddin Khan "a key link in the global terror network, with sinister tentacles spanning the planet." The website says last year Interpol uncovered a complicated conspiracy involving Khan and the Russian mafia to trade black-market caviar for weapons to arm the FCLN guerillas in the Central American mini-state of Hungaragua. The FCLN, for Chilaquile National Liberation Front, took up arms in 1994 to protest Hungaragua's entry into the World Food Organization (WFO). Their main grievance is the inferior taste and texture of tortillas made from genetically-modified corn. In a recent communique they pledged to "liberate the fatherland from gringo gastro-imperialism." Monsanto is said to be lobbying heavily to have them added to the State Department list of foreign terrorist organizations. (LAX, April 1) The Williamsburg Foundation reminds readers that Hungaragua is "just one day's drive from Galveston, Texas."

Islams Imperial Dreams
Efraim Karsh
When satirical depictions of the prophet Muhammad in a Danish newspaper sparked a worldwide wave of Muslim violence early this year, observers naturally focused on the wanton destruction of Western embassies, businesses, and other institutions. Less attention was paid to the words that often accompanied the riotswords with ominous historical echoes. Hurry up and apologize to our nation, because if you do not, you will regret it, declared Khaled Mashal, the leader of Hamas, fresh from the Islamist groups sweeping victory in the Palestinian elections:
This is because our nation is progressing and is victorious. . . . By Allah, you will be defeated. . . . Tomorrow, our nation will sit on the throne of the world. This is not a figment of the imagination but a fact. Tomorrow we will lead the world, Allah willing. Apologize today, before remorse will do you no good.
Among Islamic radicals, such gloating about the prowess and imminent triumph of their nation is as commonplace as recitals of the long and bitter catalog of grievances related to the loss of historical Muslim dominion. Osama bin Laden has repeatedly alluded to the collapse of Ottoman power at the end of World War I and, with it, the abolition of the Ottoman caliphate. What America is tasting now, he declared in the immediate wake of 9/11, is only a copy of what we have tasted. Our Islamic nation has been tasting the same for more than 80 years, of humiliation and disgrace, its sons killed and their blood spilled, its sanctities desecrated. Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Ladens top deputy, has pointed still farther into the past, lamenting the tragedy of al-Andalusthat is, the end of Islamic rule in Spain in 1492.

Long but very informative article
"The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States, and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International. DSA's members are building progressive movements for social change while establishing an openly socialist presence in American communities and politics.
"At the root of our socialism is a profound commitment to democracy, as means and end. We are activists committed not only to extending political democracy but to demanding democratic empowerment in the economy, in gender relations, and in culture. Democracy is not simply one of our political values but our means of restructuring society. Our vision is of a society in which people have a real voice in the choices and relationships that affect the entirety of our lives. We call this vision democratic socialism - a vision of a more free, democratic and humane society.
We are socialists because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo.
We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane international social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships."
Here is what "Liberty" looks like to a socialist . . .
"A democratic commitment to a vibrant pluralist life assumes the need for a democratic, responsive, and representative government to regulate the market, protect the environment, and ensure a basic level of equality and equity for each citizen. In the 21st century, such regulation will increasingly occur through international, multilateral action. But while a democratic state can protect individuals from domination by inordinately powerful, undemocratic transnational corporations, people develop the social bonds that render life meaningful only through cooperative, voluntary relationships. Promoting such bonds is the responsibility of socialists and the government alike.
"The social welfare programs of government have been for the most part positive, if partial, responses to the genuine social needs of the great majority of Americans. The dismantling of such programs by conservative and corporate elites in the absence of any alternatives will be disastrous. Abandoning schools, health care, and housing, for example, to the control of an unregulated free market magnifies the existing harsh realities of inequality and injustice."
The action agenda posted on the socialists' web site very closely parallels Agenda 21, and the recommendations of the President's Council on Sustainable Development. The web site boasts the creation of the "Progressive Caucus" in Congress, as well as the coalition that is working to promote the socialist agenda in Congress.

Saudi Arabia foiled 90 pct of attacks - minister Sat Apr 1, 8:57 AM ET
RIYADH (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia has foiled about 90 percent of attacks militants had planned to carry out in the world's largest oil exporting country, a top official said in remarks published on Saturday.

"This is thanks to God and to detailed security efforts and continuous tracking of terrorist cells," Interior Minister Prince Nayef told the pan-Arab Al Hayat newspaper.
Nayef declined to say when he expected Saudi forces to end militant attacks in the country, which announced this week the arrest of 40 suspected militants and the seizure of an arms cache.

Davey, you have outdone yourself.

Thank you,

Davey has given us a new thread to fill with the news of the "World Terrorism", she has topped the first thread, which we managed to place almost 5,000 posts in.
We do not plan for this to be a thread for just Davey and I to post on, please, post your finds and thoughts here too.
Ask a question, we will find the answer, if possible.
It takes all of us to find all the missing pieces to the terror puzzle.
Lurk if you must, (laughing) the Free Republic counter shows that we had thousands of lurkers on the last thread.
Thanks to Davey and welcome to all.

Somebody was getting ready to do something. I wonder if an alert will
go out to check all other nuke plants?<<<<
Oh, yes, the alert went out to all the plants, but what you will read in the media is "careless maintenance of nuclear plants".
Dr. Bill Wattenberg will be on in 45 minutes, maybe someone
will ask him about the drilled hole.
He is at 10pm, Pacific time tonight on KGO radio, 810 on the AM dial in the west, or for about 24 hours on the computer radio connection at: kgo.com
He should be very interesting to hear, maybe he will talk about the marches too, he always has science and survival,if there is a question on the survival, a favorite topic of his.
I keep thinking about all the holes in the Arizona gas line, that put Phoenix out of gas a year or so ago.
AND! wasn't the oil line from Alaska or Canada leaking a week or two ago, from a 'hole' that was drilled in it?
Funny, having done a tiny bit of welding, I know that there are ways to protect from sparks, never tried, but heard of,
someone, would need to be on a suicide mission, to go drilling holes in pipelines and nuclear plants.
Vel, could this be how the man in the U.K. hospital got his mystery illness?

Pots and pans, I prefer the fancy coated cast iron, over all
types of pots and pans or skillets.....but not for travel,
as it is a glass type coating and you don't want to stir it
or enemal pans, once the coating breaks.
I don't use the non stick teflon coatings on anything, as
I have known for over 30 years that if they burned, your
birds will die from the fumes.....and they scratch and I
don't have the right taste buds to eat teflon coatings.
Stainless steel is next best. for campfire cooking, use
the steel or plain old style cast iron, a set will not
be that expensive at walmart and camping supply stores.
I wouldn't buy the most expensive, why? better you put that
extra cost in rice and beans.
I have a set stainless stock pots that I bought through
the mail, in 2, 3, 4 gallons sizes, they would not be all
that good for the cooking on a campfire, unless you kept
stirring them, but would be lovely for boiled water, etc.

You should learn to use sourdough starter, always store
your yeast in the freezer, when bought in bulk,
there is one tablespoon of yeast in those foil packets,
I kinda use a rounded tablespoon of yeast, not heaping, as
I like the taste of yeast in bread, but not over powering.
You will not be able to buy yeast or anything, if there is
not a store........you can freeze sourdough starter, that is
what I did when I did not bake that week.
It can also be dried, but I have not done that.

WARNING--DANGER- Sourdough cooking is addictive, about in
the same class as Freeping.....and it is good for bragging.
Like (LOL) my last starter, came from a sourdough cooking
class at the Mormon Church, it was 125 years old and came
from a mining camp in Alaska........and if I am blessed,
the 10 year old package in my freezer will still be good.
I have made it from scratch, it will work, but the extra
love that went into keeping one alive for 125 years, makes
it taste better.......

Guess I might have gotten a little carried away, so won't
go on with the others that I thought up to search......
I couldn't resist this google and now wish I had time to look at it,
these are different from what I saw 3 years ago.
Keep in mind that the recipes will go well with our stored
foods, as all the good stuff was rationed during WW2.
Laughing, I took time to note some thoughts on other era's.

and one more copied:
Sourdough takes on a life of its own....
40 years ago, the State of Alaska had sourdough cookbooks,
I had one, and lost it in the moves.
There was a chocolate cake that took 2 days to make, not hard to
make,
a matter of now stir this in, it was so good.
I should be able to find the Mormon Pumpkin Sourdough Bread
recipe, that you add a jar of mincemeat to.....wonderful.
The year that we lived in Chloride, I was active in the small town, we
had a fund raiser almost every week.....
I did the cakes as usual, but then came the day that I did
not make the cakes and donated a few loaves of S.D. bread.
The old miners who lived there, asked if I would skip the
cakes in the future and donate all the bread that I could.
Read up on the starters, you can start with a basic one, as
I recall, a cup flour, a cup of water (maybe 2, to make a thick paste)
one rounded tablespoon of yeast and I add about
a teaspoon of sugar, to feed the yeast.
A crock is best, or wrap the jar in tinfoil to shut out the
light.
DO NOT USE A SEALING LID, IT WILL EXPLODE, for the days it
sets out use a good paper towel and a rubber band for a lid.
Let it set out for 3 or 4 days, till it starts to smell sour and yeasty,
then it is ok to put in the refrig, with a wax paper top.
My idea of a starter was a gallon jar glass, never use metal on it, not
even a metal spoon to stir the starter. wood is best.
reading will give you more info, but it is simple, use part,
refeed and let set out for a day and then in the refrig.

This recipe is important, we need a supply of them for Freeping strenth, has anyone made a version of them in the bread machine?

I totally agree with the teflon pans, although I have some it's probably
time to get rid of them. I love stainless steel and the ironstone like Le
Creuset [very expensive]
These are my favorite muffins.
Moosewood Muffins
Yields 12 muffins
streusel topping (optional)
1/3 cup unbleached white flour
1 1/2 tablespoons cold butter, chopped into small pieces
1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
pinch of salt
wet ingredients
6 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups chopped fruit, and/or nuts, and/or chocolate chips*
dry ingredients
2 cups unbleached white all-purpose or pastry flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon or other spice (optional)
Preheat the oven to 350°. Prepare a 12-cup muffin tin by lightly oiling
the cups or placing a paper liner in each cup.
If you want a topping, mix together all of the streusel ingredients and
blend with a fork until the butter is pea-sized or smaller. Set aside. In
a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat
in the egg and then the milk and vanilla; the mixture will look lumpy.
By hand with a rubber spatula, fold in the fruit and/or nuts and/or
chocolate chips. Set aside.
In a separate large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder,
baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, if using, and mix well. Add the wet
ingredients to the dry ingredients and fold together with a rubber
spatula without overmixing. Spoon about 1/3 cup of the batter into
each muffin cup. Sprinkle each muffin with a scant tablespoon of
streusel topping if you like.
Immediately place the muffins in the oven and bake for 30 to 35
minutes, until puffed and golden. After about 20 minutes, rotate the
muffin tin in the oven to ensure even baking.
Remove the muffins from the oven and place the tins on a rack to cool
for about 15 minutes. The hot muffins are quite soft and may fall apart
if handled right away. Serve warm or cool completely and store in a
sealed container at room temperature.
