Eddie Rendell and the Voter ID bill (2nd Thoughts)
County Press ^ | William Lawrence

Posted on 04/01/2006 7:35:46 PM PST by Tribune7

Gov. Fast Eddie Rendell, like the good Democrat that he is, vetoed a bill that would have toughened voter-identification laws. He said it would make it harder for people to vote.

Well, it would make it harder for them to vote more than once.

Under the bill, each voter would have had to show election workers a form of identification such as a driver's license; a U.S. passport; a student, employee or government ID; a county voter-registration card; a firearm permit; a current utility bill; or a current bank statement, paycheck or government check.

Eddie says that's asking too much

If this doesn't work, bring forth a bill that would require voters to dip their fingers in bottles of purple ink.

Pretty soon, due to an amendment to the Patriot Act cosponsored by Diane Fienstein and Hillary Clinton and a few others including Republicans, everyone who wishes to purchase pseudoephedrine cold pills (Sudofed) will need to show picture ID and sign a book.

But not to vote. No picture ID to vote, just to buy cold pills.

The blizzard story is great. Same happened here in the late 70s. We buckled down and got er done. Some areas didn't have power for over a month. Never heard a peep out of jimmah or jesse.

I never have understood how these creeps get away with making this argument. Harder to vote? Cry me a freaking river! What's further amazing is that these people constantly yammer about how Republicans steal elections when they're the ones so unwilling to ID who is voting. The press seems equally hypocritical (gee, what else is new?)

Oh, another interesting little tidbit from the article:

"According to Rep. James P. Moran, (D-Va.), "Over one in seven fur garments sold in the U.S. are not legally required to be labeled." So you may end up wearing fur made from dog or cat.

An 18-month undercover investigation by the Humane Society of the United States revealed that millions of cats and dogs are being killed each year in China for fur trim on coats, hats and other items.

I suggest to our readers that they also be very careful about buying any canned meat products imported from China. One never knows, does one?"

I don't know how anyone can oppose voter ID with a straight face. It is obvious to the dumbest that no voter ID is intended to facilitate voter fraud. Although I am not in favor of federal laws in general, in this case it is too important for the control of the federal government not to have voter ID and traceability of those who vote.

The only chance the left has is voter fraud and they use it extensively. That is the biggest part of their support of illegals in this country. They intend to transform criminals into Democrat voters. It must be stopped somehow.

Eddie says that's asking too much...I think I saw a poll done about the same time Eddie was taking his stand which showed that a pretty good majority actually wanted voters to have to show some type of identification - the Guv might rethink this pretty quick.....

No voter ID required but we must disqualify or not count as many military ballots as possible because you know how they vote. Right, Eddie?

Dirt bag par excellence.

Democrats everywhere know that positively IDing people at the polling place will result in a precipitous drop in Democrat votes cast, while not at all impacting the number of real people who show up at the polls.

Inner city turnouts over 90%. Actual observed turnouts between 10-20%. Come ON, who is fooling who?

Let not forget fasteddie's attempt to get convicted felons registered to vote during the last election, because he knew the DemonCrats would benefit. I suppose that our fearless leader knew that it's illegal for incarnated convicted felons to vote in Pa. This man is below contempt!

Dirt bag par excellence!

Fast Eddie knows it would be hard to get ID's for all the dead Philadelphia voters who vote for the democrats; not to mention the winos who show up to vote multiple times for those who might not be able to make it to the polls.

You should have seen the black female from Philadelphia in the PA house pissing and moaning about what what a travesty this was going to be. She acted so stupid on the floor she was an embarrassment!

Real Americans, who consider their ONE vote a very precious thing, believe that IT SHOULD BE HARD TO VOTE. Maggots like "Fast Eddie" rely on voter fraud to get elected so it's easy to understand why he needs to keep the voting process easy. Since he relies on morons who call themselves DemocRATS, it's tough enough getting those pinheads to vote correctly even one time. If you ask your average DemocRAT to identify themself, most of them haven't got a clue who the hell they are.

Nope.

And I be sure to strongly support, instead of attack, anyone who stood up to him.
