Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform
The Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform has been set up to lobby the US government on behalf of the estimated 40,000 undocumented Irish in the US.
This is what The New York Times had to say about the bill:
The best hope so far comes from the Senate, where thoughtful members are looking at variations on Mr. Bushs comprehensive immigration reform. And the best of those so far is a bipartisan package from Senators John McCain and Edward Kennedy that promises security at the borders and a guest worker program that gives the worker some hope of eventual citizenship.

My office is literally a block away from this church. There are many illegal irish in the area. On McLean ave., the ave. is literally filled with bars.
I will say, the Irish people are overall a very good people and rarely cause troubles.
