During the 9/11 Commission Lehman asked Louis Freeh about the theories of a middle eastern connection contained in "The Third Terrorists". Freeh answered that he had never heard of it. There were no follow up questions.

Yes. John Doe Number 2. The striking thing about that sketch and the one of McVey was how remarkably true to life each was, a vastly better quality than most such sketches. The FBI never did anything effective to run down John Doe Number 2.
That whole "Setting a new tone in Washington" thingy has really worked well hasn't it?
Perhaps the investigative committee could get to view some of the approximately 27 area security tapes that, curiously, have been held by the FBI, but never released.
Wonder what those tapes DO show that would cause them to be impounded and held all these years?

I have a sick, sinking feeling that a lot of Bush's apparent affection for Clinton traces back to what went on at the Mena, Ark. airport toward the end of the 1980's. Back then the WSJ ran some editorials that pointed out an apparent connection between CIA flights going in and out of that airport and cocaine deliveries that were apparently being made to it from central America. It's at least possible that Bush I struck a deal with the Devil (Clinton) to allow the Mena airport to be used for essential secret CIA operations in exchange for looking the other way when cocaine came in on the return flights. That would nicely explain the myriad efforts Bush III has made to cover up for the Clintons' crimes.
From the way the perverse Bush/Clinton relationship has developed, I suspect that if Bush has real, sollid evidence against Clinton, the evidence will quickly disappear.
My recollection of the OKC RM Bldg is the bldg hosted a DEA office managing a major operation vs Mexican dope rings. McV & Nickles were duped into the perp roll. DEA was nuetralized.
