CBS) LOS ANGELES Movie director John McTiernan Monday became the 14th person charged in the case involving Hollywood sleuth-to-the-stars Anthony Pellicano.
McTiernan, who has directed such films as "Die Hard", "The Thomas Crown Affair" and "The Hunt for Red October," is charged in a criminal information with one count of lying to FBI investigators when he denied knowing about Pellicano's alleged wiretapping.
Prosecutors allege McTiernan hired Pellicano to wiretap producer Charles Roven.
A federal criminal information is different from an indictment in that it is filed by prosecutors, and not a grand jury. It is frequently filed when the defendant has entered into an agreement to plead guilty.
It is not known if McTiernan has reached a plea bargain with prosecutors.
McTiernan, 55, is due in court April 17 for arraignment.
The other PI firm that Hillary hired was a D.C. firm called IGI which is run by Terry Lenzner. They are also fairly well known for a variety of private sector black bag jobs. Lenzner is a former Democrat politico turned PI/Fixer. Lenzner is smarter when it comes to covering this tracks and keeping a lower profile but he has just as many scummy clients in his rolodex who didn't care how he got dirt as long as he got it.
Wondering when the first bodies will begin showing up in the desert.
Patience. If the story gets out too soon people will forget by the election. This summer should be good enough.
