This is great, especially right on the heels of the Truth in Sentencing law. No more parole in Alabama - if you are sentenced to 15 years you serve 15 years.

Yeah, that's how I thought it went down. I remember now.
In any case, when I hear the words 'economy' and 'Alabama'...I merely think of this picture.
Brand SPANKIN' new Hyundai plant. And as a bonus, free from unions.

Well, thanks for the info. Memory can sometimes be tricky. I'll research the topic, possibly change my vote. Although I am an independent conservative with libertarian leanings, I generally wind up swinging on the elephant's tail in the general elections.

I hope my state soon adopts such a law. I think it will. This is a tide that is sweeping over the nation. And we can thank Florida for getting it going.

That's an impressive photo. Where is that plant? Thanks.

Me too.
Sweet Home Alabama!

Actually it's in Hope Hull, right outside of Montgomery.
I'm a Hope Hullian and a Riley supporter.

Thanks. As I recall, Montgomery is towards the middle of the state and of course, is the state capital.

Used to live there myself. Got way too crowded though; roads were too small to handle the growth. Especially the Eastern Bypass at rush hour.
