Do you know what your member of Congress thinks about illegal immigration?

I am in a hopeless position...My Congressman is an "open-borders" Democrat. I am sure he would ignore my letter against amnesty for illegals. He is in a safe district...There is no chance that a GOP candidate will defeat him.

My Senators are Feinstein and Boxer...Forget about Boxer. I was thinking maybe there was some hope with Feinstein. But, Feinstein came out in favor of a "guest worker program".

I think those you, who are represented by Republicans, have to step up to the plate. You will have some luck convincing Republicans against the amnesty...

My senate reps Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer.

Out of the three, Diane is the only one remotely interested in controlling illegal immigration. Tom could care less, and Barbara is heading towards Tom's position. What can I expect of the most liberal...actually this is far beyond liberalism it's insanity. I've met a few reasonable liberals in my life, but in the bay area they're playing russian roulette with policies.

I've of two minds on this. John Kyl is OK on this. My other Senator, John McCain, has a position. "Bend over!"

Don't know about the House of Reps, but then, they're not the problem at the moment.

Write and call your reps regardless their position. Make your position known. Then writ/call any and all other reps that support your position even if they are not from your district or state and encourage them.

Here's my input on illegal immigration.....

There is no middle ground, either we are a sovereign nation or we're not. We either have borders or we don't. We allow people to visit and even work by our rules or we don't.

If there are to be no borders then annex Canada and Mexico and throw out the corrupt socialists in Canada and the dictatorship in Mexico. If there are to be borders, then build a wall.

The ongoing and relentless illegal invasion from Mexico must stop. Like I said - build a wall, enforce the law, now! The RINO's in the senate must be stopped. Stand up to President Bush, he is out to lunch on this. Otherwise, the R's will be out of power for 50 years. I will never vote again if their is to be yet another amnesty. We see how well the last one worked in '86.

Like I said, there is no middle ground on this issue.

Thanks for posting that link. My Congress Critter Boehlert has been a RHINO for a while now. He's a big disappointment. He's decided to retire and not run again this fall. The state assemblyman that was planning on running for his vacant seat has bowed out to let another local guy (the county manager) run in his place. I can't say that if he wins, he'll be any better than Boehlert.
