President Bush blamed Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid today for the potentially fatal blow dealt to compromise immigration legislation.

Good for Senator Reid.

The last time the amnesty for illegals was stopped, it was Senator Byrd (D-WVA).

Whatever their reasons, they stopped the anmesty for illegals.

Reid did stop the bill from progressing, and we should be glad that this abomination was stopped for now. However, Reid is not doing the American People any favors. He didn't do it to stand up for the American People, he is doing it because he didn't want the Republicans to add amendments that would weaken the amnesty he wants.
