And now Ted Kennedy takes the stage speaking terribly accented Spanish followed by:

"I look across this stage and see the future of America. Nation of immigrants. We stand together as brothers and sisters. Old Americans, new Americans, future Americans - all joined together for the common good.

"Do you love your family, love your community - do you love America? You are what this debate is about. It's about good people who come to America to work...to support their families...It will determine who can attain citizenship, contribute to our values...& economic growth.

"Some in Congress wish to turn you away...they believe immigrants are criminals...they say you should report to deport - I say you should report to become citizens. (MLK cite - most of the crowd never heard of him!)

"We stand for the future/families/faith...are you with me? John McCain (big USA chant) and I have a plan that insures your place in America's future. Are you with me?" (crowd cheers) "We will never give up!" (crowd chants Kennedy, Kennedy, Kennedy...)

The evil one then quits the stage.

Teenage girl leads the Pledge of Allegiance which half the crowd garbles. More Spanish language rallying, then Catholic Cardinal Theodore McCarrick Spanish-language statement, then in English compares this to the Blacks' Civil Rights movement... I can't take anymore.

"We are America. We are workers. We are not criminals."

"Full Rights for All Immigrants - ANSWER Coalition" (There they are).
