I lived in Manhattan for about 10 years, from the mid 70's to mid 80's. I haven't been back since then and I really would like to go say a prayer at the WTC site.

I worked in a gas station on East B'way. in the late 60's. All the steel came over the Manhattan Bridge in front of my shop on the way to the the site. From 70 to 92 I worked in and around those buildings. I would see them daily from my living room window in Woodside, Queens. When I moved to WV in 02, every time I would return to the city, while on I78, my stomach would knot up at sight of that hole in the skyline. I was offered the opportunity to enter 140 West St. just days after the attack, I passed. I don't think I could ever handle seeing that hole.
