How amazing I am sure there are many diabetic people that wish they were the same.

How do you cope if you suddenly need a quick sugar boost though. Many diabetics I know always carry a mars bar or a sweet biscuit (cookie) with them.

"How do you cope if you suddenly need a quick sugar boost though. "

For insulin reactions (numerous, like at 0345 this a.m.), I can handle a small amount of low acid orange juice, a few ounces of regular cola, etc...to bring the blood glucose up to a safe level.

When I'm out, in my purse at all times is a plastic bag with spice drops and/or jelly beans - can handle well Necco wafers, for some reason, roll in purse...
And if those are not working, continuing the slide *down and out,* in my purse is an Emergency Glucagon Kit...if still conscious, can self-administer, or hand it to someone to do so.
