Most people don't even know that the shuttle itself didn't 'blow up.'

It was detached from the boosters and was torn apart by aerodynamic forces.

It has nothing to do with whether or not we are tough enough. The Bush Administration and the criminal liberal news media don't want a backlash against the "religion of peace." Essentially it undercuts our will to win the WOT.
