I wish we got this information earlier too but disagree about the current American mindset.
Judging by the reaction regarding the release of United 93, most people don't like to be confronted with this.
I was very disappointed to read many FReepers say they didn't want to see the movie. I consider it a tribute to fallen heroes and absolutely necessary because too many WANT to forget.
I think that most don't want to see the movie because of how vulnerable and helpless it makes them feel. It similar to a person not wanting to see a video of their mother getting raped or beaten up and you being helpless to interfere - it just gives you a sick feeling.
I certainly think that we should never forget and that it's important to keep showing videos and audio recordings just so it is fresh in our minds.
I don't know if many people can take 2 straight hours of it though.
Agree. As long as it's not a whitewash of Moslems. Those people were the ONLY true, pure heroes in the entire outrage of that day!
Now let's hope we can still change the Moslem nature of that Shanksville "memorial".
Most people are cowardly ostriches who prefer to keep their heads buried and their butts up in the air.
I think the movie is very important, I plan on seeing it. I am sure many libs are upset the movie's coming out because it will incresae patriotism in America, always bad for the left.
I have always taken some comfort in knowing that the heroes who stormed the cockpit that day went down FIGHTING! I can only imagine the adrenaline they felt.
I think, being in that situation, knowing I was DOING WHAT I COULD to fight instead of passively going to my slaughter, would help me to deal with the reality of the situation. I pray that God gave them peace and a SUPERNATURAL strength to DEAL with the terrorists and to inflict some pain on them before the plane crashed.
Personally, I would like to hear the entire, unedited tape.
I want to STAY ANGRY over this and NEVER FORGET 9-11.
