Did any of you see the segment on Studio B with Shep Smith today?

It was about that "HUGE STORY" from WaPo about the trailers being known NOT to be for making WMDS, before Bush referenced them in a speech?

First of all...when he was promoing the segment, he mentioned "new evidence" regarding Saddam's WMDS...so my ears perked up, thinking he was going to talk about the documents...

Silly me>>>> Because when he came back, he started the segment saying that "everyone knows there were no WMDS in Iraq by now...so what about this story?"

He had on Lawrence Korb...YUCK...and Korb spouted the lib party line about how this is just another GOOD indication how wrong Bush was....blah, blah.

Shep asked him what Bush should do now...Korb said that "He should acknowledge what Condi Rice said a few weeks ago that there were 'thousands of mistakes made' (notice he didn't say tactical)...and Bush should 'own up to them once and for all'"..

Shep then asked why would the world trust us anymore re: Iran, after all of the wrong information about Iraq? Why would anyone trust President Bush to tell the truth?

Korb: "Well, we don't have to worry about that because Alhemziad(sp)...announced they have the uranium and what they want to do"

BUT, notice no mention of ANY of the documents that have been transcribed OR that Saddam DID have WMDS, and USED them...which is MORE reason, IMHO...that what Korb basically said was a slam dunk about Iran.

I am SEETHING about this...especially SHEP'S total REPORTING that we all KNOW there were never WMDs...

There is so much wrong with that interview, TX, that it's hardly worth wasting the breath.

Every Dem agreed with the Pres. They saw the same reports and intel that he did. Every intel agency in the Wilda agreed that Saddam had WMD's. The docs coming out of Iraq support the assumption that he had them.

To the left, Schlep Smith, the putz, included, this is a political argument. I defy anyone to prove to me that the left is concerned one iota with the safety & security of this country. It isn't good enough for them to become indignant and holier than thou, screaming and foaming at the mouth about their patriotism being impugned.

I cannot impugn what does not exist. They do not love this country, therefore, they cannot be patriotic, by definition. They love power, and that is what their lives revolve around...their own selfishness and self-absorbtion.

A person that loves this country, does not compare our troops to Nazis (Little Dick Durbin), does not accuse our troops of running torture chambers (Ted Kennedy), does not belittle the Pres in a time of war.

The psychiatric wing of the Dem Party does all of that. They make outrageous claims with no evidence in the their quest for power, not for the betterment of this country. They promote the same failed policies of the past (think Jimmy Carter) as the antidote to world terrorism.

The long and the short of it is that the Left cannot be patriotic because they are faithful to ideology above country. Patriotism, therefore, cannot exist.
