This has been my point all along. This plan will never work and create a far worse mess since the new "guests" will no longer be attractive to employers looking to avoid taxes and looking for employees they don't have to pay Worker's Comp on.

Once the illegals already here realize this, and realize that by signing up for this sham they will be signing themselves up for a paycut, they will not go for it.

At that point, is the gov't prepared to deport people?

That is really where the buck stops. And the answer is NO. Lots of posters think it would be a simple matter to deport 20+ million people including children but no, it would not be simple. In some areas such as California and parts of Texas, it would be damn near impossible.

My best ideas so far:
1- CLOSE THE BORDER NOW.
2- Verify every employee's status and stop paychecks to illegals. Got illegal family members here? You pay for them, not us.
3- Verify every beneficiary's status and stop benefits to illegals. No in-state tuition for you. No handouts.
4- Employers who skirt the law must be hit hard. Make it very expensive to hire illegals.
5- Anyone arrested for any crime, if they're illegal, deport them immediately.

The rest will take care of itself. No jobs, no benefits, no shelter from scrutiny. If only someone has the will to make it so.
