The Islamic Center of Raleigh
Frontpage Magazine ^ | 04/14/06 | Linda Keay

Posted on 04/14/2006 6:42:49 AM PDT by CarolinaGuitarman

"The Islamic Center of Raleigh held an open house last month, shortly after former University of North Carolina student Mohammed Taheri-azar slammed his SUV into students in revenge for, in his stated motive, the mistreatment of Muslims by America."

"At the same conference, Sarsour argued that American efforts to support freedom in Iraq are “dumb.” Sarsour also stated that when the U.S. engages in surveillance and when Muslims are taken into custody, “[a] Christian public is very accepting of this,” so much so that persecution of Muslims is the “new religion of America.”"

"Instead, as Sarsour sees it, those Palestinians who fight against Israel are fighting “terrorists." As for the terrorists in Iraq, Sarsour seems to regard them as brave patriots guilty of nothing more than defending their homeland. He asks rhetorically, “What is a terrorist? How can we fight terrorism? If Iraq is defending its own country, its own people, its own being, its own heart, is this a terrorist?”"

"Currently, Sarsour serves as a consultant in his field of nuclear engineering, attending other kinds of conferences, such as a nuclear power reactor simulation symposium in Ontario, Canada in 2002."

Lovely. Besides the unease I have about living so close to these nuts (I'm about 30 minutes from Raleigh), it makes me feel very secure knowing that the organization's youth director, Sarsour, is working with nuclear reactors.

Religion of peace my a$$.

I would love to know of any other place where it is better to be a muslim, than to be a muslim in America.
If the ungrateful barstards don't like it here, no one is making them stay.

Whine, snivel, blame others to deflect attention to their hellish teachings.

Imagine it is 1942 and a branch of the German Nazi Party has an "outreach" center in your town . . . .

There are hundreds of these Islamic Centers and Madrases all over the United States. The vast majority of them support the Palestinian cause and the terrorists in Iraq - and want Americans and Jews to die. Political correctness will KILL us all! The average fat, lazy, cowardly American of 2006 will not only sleep with the enemy but will give them the knife to slit their own throat.

"persecution of Muslims".

What a laugh.

How about the way Christians are treated in Muslim countries?

The fact that we allow these folks to come here with their suicide/death culture is beyond me.

The enemy within. We need a mass internment and deportation program ASAP.

Where ever they go, they spread discord and violence.
Scandanavia, the UK, Australia, India, the US.
This religion should be declared a mental illness, and quarantined.

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- Three knife-wielding men attacked worshippers in simultaneous attacks during Mass at three Coptic churches in the northern Mediterranean city of Alexandria, killing one person and wounding more than a dozen others, police officials said.
The attackers fled following Friday's attacks, and police cordoned off the churches and set up checkpoints in an effort to find them.

One worshipper died and at least two others were in serious condition, a police official said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press. Initial police reports said a total of 17 people were injured.

Hundreds of Christians gathered in angry protest outside the churches. Witnesses said clashes erupted between Christians and Muslims in the Sidi Bishr neighborhood, the site of Saints Church, where 10 people were reported wounded in the knife attack.

"I would love to know of any other place where it is better to be a muslim, than to be a muslim in America."

Exactly. Our government doesn't tell anybody how to practice their religion (beyond not infringing other's rights); Muslims are not forced to obey Sharia law here. Muslims here have all the advantages of our constitutional guarantees and freedoms. So what do we get in return? Far too many Muslims here who view the USA as the enemy. Something is going to have to give.

It's sickening.

The analogy is even closer than many realize, too, since the islamofascists share many of the same beliefs, particularly anti-Jewish hatred. Mein Kampf is a best seller in the Middle East.

I hope that our government has the guts to be tracking these people, especially ones like Sarsour who have ties to the nuclear power industry.

Far more charitable is Sarsour's view of terrorism

Islam has been spread through terrorism since the seventh century, and this is precisely what the Koran teaches. The Muslims would like to change their 'image', but they have no intention of changing the substance of their dysfunctional 'religion'.
