Im in Texas and from here that even gets old.

People always forget there are a lot of conservatives in CA. That the liberals outnumber people in CA could happen in any ones state.

Isn't this the way BJ Clintoon started?

Sort of. But he was 5 or 6 at the time, not 56...

You are the funny one, your prejudice toward everyone in CA is obvious. You DO fail to grasp the most significant details about CA and pointing them out to you is obviously useless. There are many cities in CA, only one of which is SF.

Even in CA the majority of people do NOT endorse the extremely liberal leanings of SF. I, and others like me, resent assholes like you who seem to think everyone who lives in this state are either queers, liberal fruitcakes or nutcases.

There are many conservatives living here, and Vacaville is an average city in CA, no more or less liberal than the rest(excluding SF).

Your predjudice towards CA is obvious in your first post, disregarding the fact that the incident in question happened in Vacaville you had to make a snide comment about SF as if the whole state abides by their laws. Get over it and get over yourself, in other words quit being such a prejudiced asshole, or better yet learn a little geography so you know exactly where SF is located in relation to the rest of the state. It might help you make an intelligent post in the future instead of the idiotic comments you have made on this thread.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty? With kids having access to all sorts of information these days, I can imagine a scenario where a couple of girls are angry with him for some reason or frankly just don't like him. They would cook up a believable story and take it to their parents who then call the cops. Once they realize what they have done, they are afraid of the consequences of telling the truth so they stick by it.

When I was a kid (admittedly a long time ago), male teachers were not common until junior or senior high school. A male teacher in an environment with young children has to be somewhat apprehensive as at any time he can be accused of sexual misconduct and it boils down to he said-she said. Such a case happened in ABQ a year or so ago.

False reports do happen and they can ruin the otherwise good name of a repspectable person. I'm not saying that proven molesters should get a break, they shouldn't. But let's not assume that he automatically did it, either.

Well someone needs to point out the obvious:

What exactly did this person do? Be very specific and document with factual evidence, the actual actions which he is accused of doing.

DO NOT allow this story to be based upon "things left to the imagination" without any factual information to support the allegations.

I once supported a loving mother of five kids in a sexual abuse case. She was criminally charged for third degree sexually abuse (the worst kind) by a neighbor mother.

The "crime" that she was accused of; was patting a little boy on his butt, with his clothes on!

Seriously, she was facing many year in prison, and could have lost her own children, if this court case was not handled properly.

We were ready for a major legal fight in court that day, but the prosecution started to offer deals.

The one thing that they would not back down from, was preventing her from being around these boys ever again. To insure that, they were willing to place this woman in prison for many years.

The sexual abuse of these children was the legal charge on that date, but it had been modified many times in the months prior to this court date.

1) Originally, she was charged for having a hand-gun in her home and showing it to these children, and that is when the police were first notified. That is also when I got involved.

2) That was not working, so they then went after her religion. She was harming these children by teaching them her beliefs about God. Actually, this almost worked and the District Attorney got involved.

This is when Anne asked for my help and I got serious about supporting her. When the District Attorney was willing to file criminal charges against a woman because of her religious beliefs, I got involved BIG TIME!

3) The religious aspect was not working, since I rapidly mobilized people from all over the Nation to support Anne. The DA rapidly realized that this was not going to work.

4) Finally, she charged Anne for sexually abusing these boys, and used the episode of "patting then on their butts" as evidence.

Guilty!

On the day of her trial, it took me several hours to convince her to plead guilty to these charges It was was her best option, once I realized how much the DA wanted to send her to prison.

I worked out a deal with the DA. She would only get probation and that all court records would be expunged after two years. The alternative, was time in prison and the loss of her own five children.

Anne plead guilty that day and everyone obeyed the terms of the compromise. I drove her home after court, and knew that I had just saved a family. Two years later, all court records were expunged.

Anne was innocent of these charges and never spoke to me again. I do not blame her. To her, standing up and pleading guilty for something that she knew was not wrong, was the actual crime.

I knew what the DA was prepared to do that day, and I absolutely know that I saved her and her family.

Sometime, life is not simple and you are forced to make difficult choices. Anne was never guilty of sexually abusing those boys, and we all knew it.

Yes he is. Just a public accusation will do it. I'm suprised there are not more of these. The only solution is to make sure you are never alone with a young student -- always have another adult present such as a student teacher. Too bad things have come to this.

I for one, will never allow myself to be around children without another adult present. Today's society is sick and everyone is guilty until proved innocent.

Today, I avoid children like the plague.

Cindy Sheehan's hometown

Yeah, before she was adopted by Berserkeley. Vacaville used to be the home of the Nut Tree, but I don't know if that's relevant, or not.

No easier way to get rid of a teacher you don't like than to accuse said teacher of molestation . Some 10 year old kids van be vicious .

Bet this guy keeps his pension under all outcomes.

In our area these sorts of teachers "retire" with great fanfare. Then, very quietly, the school district creates a posh administrative job ... and soaks the taxpayers to keep deviants on the payroll PLUS hiring another "teacher" to replace them in the teaching position. Nothing short of abolition of the entire public school system will stop things like this.

To channel recent threads here: Yes, but was he hot?

For every preteen boy that fantasizes about his hot female teacher, there is a little schoolgirl crush on a much older male teacher. Adults must act like adults and do the right thing. Male or female, these peoples behavior is disgusting. Period.

Hi. I was born and raised in CA. SoCal to be more specific.

i remember SoCal before the freeways. I remember the eye-burning smog. And I remember the traffic that came with all the growth.

It's not the people here that I hate. It's their attitudes, like the Mad Hatter always late for something. Take instead of share. Mine (and yours, if I can get it) is better.

Yep, still live here in CA, but not in SoCal. At least for the time being. May have to leave the State if I feel too crowded. Wouldn't move back to SoCal on a very large bet. Nor SF.

I live in Northern CA. It us a totally different state then either the coast or southern CA. Hate SF, but at the same time I don't paint everyone in CA, or any state, with the same brush. That was my point. Yes, we have some jerks here, but I am not one of them, yes SF has some bad laws and many of their leaders are crazy as sh** house rats, but many of the rest of us aren't. I do not like being equated to SF moonbats, or any other moonbat as far as that goes.
