I understand what you are saying but I have run out of patience. All we got was lip service from the GOP for years now and I refuse to hold my tongue now.
The only way they will find out how much trouble they are in is to withhold money and votes. Getting what we want and should have -- liberty, not benefits or handouts -- is not easy, but standing up and demanding it and demanding that up reps vote for it should be easy.
But the GOP and those that the party advances and supports would rather pander to those who want to take than attend to their sworn duty. I find few of them honorable any more and have very little respect left.
Sadly it has come to this and even more sadly, it may not work, but losing may be the only thing to wake up the GOP and those who blindly swear allegience to them. Based on what you have written here, I don't put you into that category, but you are still locked onto them as the solution. Don't worry. I work with you to get your mind totally right. ;-)
I wish there were more free-thinkers here. I do see their point because the illiterates that vote for Demonrats are mob thinkers and won't freely think, causing us to be the only ones to split our votes. However, when your party becomes so aligned with the left that you can barely tell the difference, why does it matter any longer to have the Republicans in control? They've been in unprecedented control for years now and we've moved backwards. Government is larger than ever, spending is out of control, corruption within both parties is occurring rampantly, and if you go to any Republican's website, you will see that they are so proud of their big government programs! I, for one, am fed up and will vote third party in this election in just enough time to send a clear message for the more important elections in 2008.
When the Democrat party is dead and buried, I will start voting for a more conservative party.
As it is, any vote not going to the Republican Party is a vote for the Democrats.
That is the truth, no matter how you dress it up. So if you want to elect another "Bill Clinton" then vote for a third party.
I have written so many times that I am ready to copy this for my "clipboard" to post again and agian: I would never vote third party in a Presidential election, only in this election. If you vote Republican in this off-year, congressional election, you are going to give them the impression that you condone their liberalism. Then, in 2008, you are going to end up with a nominee as liberal, or more, than George W. Bush.
I also voted for Perot. That didn't work out so well.
I don't know what else to do now.

I am sorry, I do not follow individuals on this forum as closely as some, so did not know your full view on the subject.
Even still, a vote for anyone other then a Republican is a vote for Democrats. Now in my case it does not really matter as I live in California and I am often on the losing end. So you could say, I could vote for a third party and it would not make any difference.
Except to me. I will do nothing that makes life easier for Democrats, so until they are no longer a viable polictical party, I will never vote for a third party candidate
A vote for democrats?.. Hmmm.. you must mean the current ones not the ones the republicans are IMPORTING by the multi millions not only from Mexico.. Yes repubicans are importing democrats hand over fist.. They must be afraid of having nobody to be bipartisan with.. and all the onus on THEM to reduce givernment..
Its too late, that charge was granted in 1992/4.. They FAILED..
