DA Nifong said that the DNA would confict the Duke Boys. It didn't. And he doesn't care; he's proceeding with his case, asserting they'll do it the old fashioned way. DNA in this case was collected from 46 alleged suspects upon the accusation by claimant.

I haven't looked yet to see if legislatively, funds were made available to test DNA from other rape cases.

But why make this case, singularly, spectacularly poignant? Assuredly there have been more clear-cut, more brutal cases.
