I believe Kennedy was assassinated by Castro as revenge for attempting to assassinate Castro.
And if the CIA assassinated Kennedy for Bay of Pigs, why hasn't the CIA fed Jimmy Carter into..., well any kind of slow-death-producing machine for his entire presidency?

Because of the the great weakness and non comiittal display of American military backing shown during the Bay of Pigs failure the Soviets would never have been emboldened enough to build nuclear missle bases on Cuba.
Even though most historians cite Kennedy's handling of the Cuban missle crisis as a great success I believe the crisis happened because of Kennedy.
The Soviets were able to gain great concessions from the American military in agreeing to dismantle and discontinue the Cuban missle venture.
